Wendengying town

Wendengying Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Wendeng District, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the east of Wendeng District, bordering Yinzi town of Rongcheng City in the East, dashuipo town in the south, Tianfu street in the West and caomiaozi town of Huancui District in the north. The administrative area is 115.55 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Wendeng town was 26559.

In March 1959, it was renamed Wendengying commune. In March 1984, it was replaced by Wendengying township. In December 1992, the township was withdrawn and Wendengying town was established. In May 2001, Fushan town was incorporated. As of June 2020, Wendengying town has 71 administrative villages and 1 community.

In 2011, the local fiscal and tax revenue of Wendengying town was 15.53 million yuan. In 2011, the total agricultural output value reached 1.238 billion yuan. The per capita net income of farmers reached 10480 yuan. History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, Wendeng county was the hot spring capital.

In 1930, it belonged to the first district.

In December 1941, it belonged to Songshan District of Wendong county.

In 1950, it was the Fifth District of Wendeng county.

In 1956, Wendengying Township, Duli Township and Jiuli Township were established, belonging to Wenshan District.

In June 1957, the district was withdrawn and the counties directly under each township were established.

Wendengying township was merged from February to July 1958, and Songshan commune was established in September of the same year.

In March 1959, it was renamed Wendengying commune.

In March 1984, it was replaced by Wendengying township.

In December 1992, the township was withdrawn and Wendengying town was established.

In May 2001, Fushan town was incorporated.
