Sandui town belongs to Lizhou District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the middle of Guangyuan City, northwest of Lizhou district and northwest of Guangyuan City. It is located in the downstream of Bailong River, a tributary of Jialing River. It got its name because there were three reefs on the west side of Bailong River. Later, it was changed into Sandui Town, Sandui Township and Sandui commune. In 1985, it was changed into Sandui town. Historical evolution
The Republic of China and before
Sandui is an important route from Gansu to Sichuan along the Bailong River in ancient times. in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, merchants from the lower reaches of the Yangtze River often came here to buy raw silk, Auricularia auricula and medicinal materials, which became commercial fairs. During the period of the Republic of China and after the founding of new China, Sandui District Office was set up. At the end of the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), Zhaohua county was under the jurisdiction of three districts and 18 joint insurances, each of which was named by its serial number. Sandueba was set up with 13 joint insurances, belonging to the third district. In 1937, the 13 Rd joint insurance office was changed to Sandui joint insurance office, which still belongs to the three districts. In January 1940, the township and Baojia system was implemented, the joint insurance office was abolished, the Sandui joint insurance office was abolished, and the Sandui town was changed into the third district office. In 1945, Sandui town was changed into Sandui Township, and the third district was changed into the second district.
New China period
In February 1950, Zhaohua county was divided into four county districts, with three districts governing Sandui township. In May, it began to establish Township and village political power, set up the CPC District Committee and the District Office (the agency of the county Party committee and the county government), and successively changed Bao and Jia into villages and groups. By the end of 1951, Sandui district had jurisdiction over Sandui, Gaoqiao, Pingxi, Shuimo, Baishui, Liujia, Tianhuang and bathe. On November 7, 1952, Zhaohua county government decided to adjust the administrative divisions of districts and townships. In 1969, central enterprises came here to build a chemical plant and Baozhusi Hydropower Station, making the market more prosperous. On February 8, 1985, the State Council approved the abolition of Guangyuan County and the establishment of prefecture level Guangyuan City. The original Guangyuan County was changed into Shizhong District of Guangyuan City. In the same year, Sandui town was changed into a district level town, with jurisdiction over the former Sandui Township and the former Jingtian Township, belonging to Shizhong District of Guangyuan City. on November 8, 1986, the Central District of Shizhong District (county district and similar county-level District) was established, and Sandui town belongs to it. On September 2, 1989, Shizhong District was divided into Yuanba district and Chaotian District, and Sandui town was still Shizhong District. on November 29, 1991, Baozhusi Hydropower Station on Bailong River was successfully closed. On October 12, 1996, Baozhusi Hydropower Station was impounded, and Bailong lake, a huge artificial lake with an area of 75 square kilometers, was formed. on May 17, 2007, Shizhong District was renamed Lizhou District, and Sandui town remained unchanged.
