ZhuangQiao Street

It is a street under the jurisdiction of Jiangbei District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Located on the North Bank of Yaojiang River at the mouth of the new three rivers in Ningbo, the town was removed in July 2004 to build a street. It covers an area of 35 square kilometers and has a population of more than 70000. It governs seven communities, including Hedong, Hexi, Tianshui, Tianhe, Guangxia, Feishi and Guangting, 26 administrative villages, one pasture and two fishing teams. ZhuangQiao has a long history, profound culture, obvious location advantages and beautiful natural scenery. Evolution of organizational system

ZhuangQiao street belongs to the old revolutionary base area. Before the liberation of ZhuangQiao, it belonged to Cixi County. ZhuangQiao District Office was set up, which governed the neighboring villages. The first Communist Party branch of Cixi County was established in the town's integrated primary school. Jiang Ziying, a famous revolutionary martyr, was born in Gejia village, ZhuangQiao street. He once served as secretary of ZhuangQiao branch of Cixi County, Secretary of CiDong District Committee of CiZhen County, director of district standing team and county commissioner.

In October 1945, he died bravely in the battle of Da Yuan Chen in ZhuangQiao town.

ZhuangQiao street was established in July 1964 under the jurisdiction of Ningbo City. It is one of the 23 towns built earlier in the city.

In December 1983, it was under the jurisdiction of Jiangbei District, Ningbo City.

In September 1984, adjacent ZhuangQiao township was merged into ZhuangQiao street.

In October 1990, Yangshi township was abolished, and four villages were merged into ZhuangQiao street.

In July 1991, the people's Government of Jiangbei District established a martyrs' cemetery in ZhuangQiao street to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs of Jiang Ziying and Chen AI.

In May 1992, Feishi township was merged into ZhuangQiao street.

The town has developed transportation, 15 kilometers from Ningbo Airport and 7 kilometers from the city center. The newly built Jiangbei bridge and Huachen bridge on Yao River connect Zhuang bridge with the urban area. Three highways in the town are connected with national highway 329. The planned north outer ring road, West Outer Ring Road and Hangzhou bend pass through the town. Public transportation is less developed. Only bus No.4, 806 and 332 in the urban area have terminal stations in shangshao village of ZhuangQiao, Tongjia village of ZhuangQiao and Baoguo Temple of Lingshan, respectively; bus No.331 to Cicheng and bus No.335 to Cicheng all pass through ZhuangQiao sub district. Xiaoyong railway, which connects Ningbo with Shanghai and Hangzhou, has a station in the territory. Hongtang Zhenhai railway runs across the town and leads directly to Hangzhou.
