Wutaizi Street
Wutaizi street, a street under the jurisdiction of Xishi District of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southeast of Xishi District, adjacent to Zhanqian District of Yingkou City in the East, Zhanqian district and Laobian District of Yingkou City in the southeast, Minxing River in the south, Binhai street in the west, Desheng Street in the northwest and Qinghua street in the north, with a total area of 2.21 square kilometers.
During the puppet Manchuria Period, it belonged to Tongzhi District, with Qizhi street and Taiyuan street under it; wutaizi street was built in August 1978. At the end of 2011, wutaizi street had a total population of 54561. As of June 2020, wutaizi street has five communities under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of wutaizi Street reached 590 million yuan, an increase of 37.1% over the previous year. In 2011, wutaizi street had 21 industrial enterprises above Designated Size with 13000 employees, realizing an industrial added value of 5.9 billion yuan, an increase of 37.1% over the previous year.
History of construction
During the period of Manchukuo, it belonged to Tongzhi district with Qizhi street and Taiyuan street.
In 1946, the Kuomintang adopted the district system of the puppet Manchukuo. When the Kuomintang implemented the Baojia system, wutaizi was the second one.
In February 1948, after the liberation of Yingkou, the old system was abolished, and eight districts were established in Yingkou. Wutaizi belonged to the Eighth Street of Xingfu district.
In August 1949, the district and street system was abolished, and the wutaizi office belonged to wutaizi police station.
At the beginning of 1950, the district system was restored and Heping Street, the Fourth District, was located in the territory.
In July 1956, the district system was abolished and a sub district office was established. Heping Street is a Desheng sub district office.
In 1965, Heping Street was divided into Heping 1st Street, Heping 2nd Street and 2 residents committee.
In 1968, revolutionary leading groups were set up in Heping 1st Street and Heping 2nd Street respectively, belonging to the Revolutionary Committee of Dongfanghong commune (the predecessor of Desheng Street).
In 1970, the revolutionary leading group of Heping 1st Street and Heping 2nd Street merged into Dazhai Revolutionary Committee.
In August 1978, wutaizi street was built. The Dazhai Street Revolutionary Committee of Dongfanghong Street (formerly Dongfanghong commune) was changed into wutaizi and Heping 2 residents' committees. The innovative residents' committee of Shengli Street and Xiangyang Street of Xiangyang Street were set up to form the residents' committee of Wenhua street, which belonged to wutaizi street.
In 1981, the Wenhua Street residents committee was renamed Jianxin residents committee.
In 1982, Sidaogou neighborhood committee was established in Sidaogou, which also belonged to wutaizi street.
In 1983, three neighborhood committees, Qizhi street, hening street and Kangning North Street, were established in wutaizi street.
In 1984, the residents committee of Shuichang street and the residents committee of Jiangong street were established, which were also under the jurisdiction of wutaizi street.
In 2000, the original 22 neighborhood committees were merged into 12 communities.
In 2004, a part of wutaizi street was set up as Binhai street; in the same year, the original 12 communities of wutaizi street were merged into four, namely Jianxin, Chuangxin, Hongda and Hua'an.

As of June 2020, wutaizi sub district has five communities under its jurisdiction: innovation community, Jianxin community, Hongda community, Hua'an community and Xianghe community. The sub district office is located in Hongda community.

History and culture
In the Ming Dynasty, many beacon towers were built along the east coast of the Bohai Sea. The beacon tower at the west end of Yingkou was the fifth one, so it got its name.
