Lichang Township
Lichang Township, belonging to Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the northwest edge of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, on the South Bank of the Yangtze River. It is adjacent to Wangchang town in the East, Fuxing town in Zhongxian County in the south, Ganjing town in Zhongxian County in the west, tujing town in Zhongxian County across the river in the north and Xituo town in the northeast. It is 87 kilometers away from the county people's government, with a total area of 35.96 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, the area of Lichang township was called Li Cunli, which belonged to the second grade of Zhongzhou. In 1983, it was changed from Lichang commune to Lichang township. By the end of 2018, the population of Li Chang Township registered residence was 13425. As of June 2020, Lichang village has jurisdiction over five administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Lichang street.
The main food crops in Lichang township are rice, corn and wheat; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle and poultry.
History of construction
Ming Dynasty, called Li village, subordinate to Zhongzhou two a.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was subordinate to the second class of chongrenli. Qing Xuantong three years (1911), under the Shibao township.
In 1921, it was set up as the branch of Lichang League training. In 1931, it was established as Liwang township. In July 1935, Liwang township was incorporated into Taihe United protection. In July of 1936, Taihe joint protection was changed to liwangchang joint protection. In 1937, Lichang township was set up under the Second District Office of Zhongxian County. In August 1940, Lichang Township, Wangchang Township and Zhongxin Township were merged into Lichang township. In 1946, Lixiang and Wangxiang merged into Liwang township.
In September 1952, Liwang township was divided into the Sixth District of shilao county.
In February 1953, Liwang township was removed and Lichang township was set up.
On September 26, 1958, Lichang township was changed into Lichang commune.
In 1983, Lichang commune was changed into Lichang township.

The river course in Lichang Township belongs to the Yangtze River Basin, and the Yangtze River flows through the township for 12.2 kilometers; xuanxi, the main tributary, originates from Liangshan formation of Xiucai village, with a total length of 3.5 kilometers and a drainage area of 3.5 square kilometers; Zhuanwa river originates from caidigou of Lichang village, with a total length of 3.2 kilometers and a drainage area of 2.5 square kilometers; Miaoxi, which originates from the front mountain of Xiucai village, flows into the Yangtze River through Daqiao gully of Tianqi village to miaoerzui, with a total length of 12.5 kilometers Shangshenxi originates from Tiancun Hewan formation, with a total length of 2.2km and a drainage area of 2.5km; xiashenxi originates from Shenxi village, with a total length of 2.5km and a drainage area of 2.8km.
