It is adjacent to zhongsanjia and nangongyingzi in Kazuo County in the East, wohugou Township in Kazuo County in the south, yebaishou street and Tienan street in the west, Qingfengshan town and Shenjing town in the North, with an area of 155.1 square kilometers. In 2011, it has a total population of 32214.
On August 15, 1945, it belonged to yebaishou District of Jianping County. On January 19, 1956, Wanshou township was built, belonging to Wanshou district. Wanshou town was built in June 1994. In May 2006, Wanshou town was transformed into Wanshou street, with jurisdiction over 2 communities and 11 villages. As of June 2020, Wanshou street has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 11 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
On August 15, 1945, it belonged to yebaishou District of Jianping County.
On July 7, 1947, Yebaishou county was established, belonging to Wanshou District of Yebaishou county.
On July 10, 1949, Yebaishou county was abolished, Wanshou district was transferred to Jianping County, and was re divided into nine districts.
In 1950, a mutual aid group was established.

On January 19, 1956, Wanshou township was built, belonging to Wanshou district.
In March 1958, the whole county was withdrawn from the district and merged into the township. There were two townships, Wanshou and laoxidian. On October 1 of the same year, Wanshou, laoxidian, Zhangjiawan, laonitangzi and yebaishou towns were incorporated into Wanshou Fushan people's commune.
On April 1, 1961, Fushan and Wanshou ruled separately, and Wanshou commune governed 17 brigades.
In 1964, Wanshou and guanghuiyingzi were merged and divided into Yuantian and agricultural brigades.
On March 30, 1968, the commune management committee was transformed into the commune Revolutionary Committee.
In 1970, xidazhangzi, zhangjiawopu and shanzui of Wanshou commune were assigned to Qingfengshan commune.
In 1971, the Nantang Tugou brigade set up guixiyingzi commune. At this time, the commune had 13 brigades under its jurisdiction.
In 1973, dabangou brigade was divided into two groups, jingtaizi and dabangou. At this time, the whole society had 14 brigades under its jurisdiction.
