Zhelong Township
Zhelung township is located at the east foot of the middle section of Ailao Mountains, in the northwest of Xinping County, Yuxi City, on the West Bank of Shiyang River. It is bounded by Shiyang River in the East, facing ainishan Township, Shuangbai County, Chuxiong Prefecture across the river, Shuitang town in the south, Ailao Mountain National Nature Reserve in the west, Jiujia Township, Zhenyuan County, and Ejia Town, Shuangbai County in the north The road is open. Historical evolution
Zhelong was once the distribution area of "Pu people" tribe in Ailao ancient country, and one of the birthplaces of Huayao Dai. Zhelong Dai language means "the largest ancient city". In October 1949, the people's Republic of China was founded, and its name was Fengzhu township. From 1950 to 1951, five districts were set up in the county. The original Fuchang township (Jiasa) and Fengzhu Township were merged to build the Fifth District. From 1952 to 1957, the Fifth District was changed into the Sixth District, and the original Fengzhu township was designated and the seventh district (including Shuitang town) was rebuilt. From 1958 to 1959, the seventh commune was divided into two communes: long commune and Shuitang commune. In 1960, the two communes merged and became Zhelong commune. In 1961, it was divided into Zhelong and Shuitang communes. From 1962 to 1963, zhelung commune was changed into zhelung district. From 1964 to 1965, zhelung district was renamed as District 9, and from 1966 to 1983, District 9 was renamed as zhelung commune. From 1984 to 1987, zhelung commune was renamed zhelung district. Since 1988, it has been renamed Zhelong township. From 1973 to 1983, zhelung commune governed eight brigades: Zhuqing, Qingfeng, zhelung, Yuke, Chunyuan, Yaocun, Emao and Xiangyang. In 1984, the county was divided into districts and townships, and zhelung commune was renamed zhelung district. From 1984 to 1987, zhelung District governed eight townships, namely Zhuqing, Qingfeng, zhelung, Yuke, Chunyuan, Yaocun, Emao and Xiangyang. From 1988 to November 1999, zhelung District governed eight village offices, namely Zhuqing, Qingfeng, zhelung, Yuke, Chunyuan, Yaocun, Emao and Xiangyang Since May, Zhelong township has eight village committees, namely Zhuqing, Qingfeng, Zhelong, Yuke, Chunyuan, Yaocun, Emao and Xiangyang.
Infrastructure

There are 15 large and small reservoirs, with a total storage capacity of 3.0249 million cubic meters, including 1 small (1) reservoir with a storage capacity of 2.825 million cubic meters, 1 small (2) reservoir with a storage capacity of 120000 cubic meters, and 13 small dams with a total storage capacity of 79900 cubic meters. There are 1386 small water cellars with a total water storage capacity of 170000 cubic meters. There are 5 reservoirs with more than 100 cubic meters, and the utilization rate is 53.6%. There are 2 drinking water projects for human and livestock, with an investment of 130000 yuan, and 35 large and small water damage projects with an investment of 122000 yuan. (2) five links: the total mileage of the existing roads in the township is 443.3 km, including 28 km of county and township roads, 74 km of rural roads, 151.9 km of village group roads and 189.4 km of other roads. There is a water supply plant in the township, with a water supply scale of 500 cubic meters per day, and the popularization rate of tap water in towns is 100%. There is one substation in the township, and four village committees have completed the transformation of rural power grid. There is a radio and television station in the township, and a total of 5 village committees have installed cable TV, with 1058 users. There are 2106 fixed line telephones and 1826 mobile phones.
