Tuchang town
Tuchang Town, belonging to Hechuan District of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Hechuan District, adjacent to Tianfu town of Beibei District in the East, Dongyang street and XISHANPING horticultural farm of Beibei District in the south, Caojie street in the west, Shuangfeng town and Qingping town in the north. It is 34 kilometers away from the people's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 42.24 square kilometers.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), Tuchang town began to be built; in December 1993, Tuchang Township and Bazi Township merged to form Tuchang town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Tu town was 19489. As of June 2020, Tuchang town has three communities and four administrative villages, and the people's Government of Tuchang town is located at 98 Xijin street.
In 2018, there were 65 industrial enterprises in Tuchang Town, of which 34 were large-scale and 7 were comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), it began to build Tujia.
In 1939, Tusheng township was set up, belonging to Jiangbei County (now Yubei District).
In September 1955, it was assigned to Hechuan county.
In January 1956, Yangliu township was merged into Tusheng Township, belonging to the Tuzhu District of Hechuan county.
In September 1958, Bazi Township merged into Tuzhu Township and established Tuzhu commune. The district office moved to qingpingchang town.
In 1968, the Tuzhu commune was renamed Hongshan commune.
In June 1971, Hongshan commune established Yangliu commune.
In April 1972, Hongshan commune was renamed Tuzhu commune.
In December 1983, Tuzhu commune was changed into Tuzhu township.
In July 1984, Tuzhu township was renamed Tuchang Township because it had the same name as Tuzhu Township in Baxian county.
In December 1993, Tuchang Township and Bazi Township merged to form Tuchang town.
