Cizhu Town, belonging to Yubei District of Chongqing, is located in the north of Yubei district. It is adjacent to Dawan town in the East, Xinglong Town in the south, Sansheng town and pianyan town in Beibei District in the west, and Linshui County in Sichuan Province in the north. It is 40 kilometers away from the residence of Yubei District People's government, with a total area of 112.79 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, huilongchang was built in Cizhu town; in 1993, Cizhu Township, zhaiping Township and Liangcha Township were merged into Cizhu town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 33997. As of June 2020, Cizhu town has 2 communities and 16 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Cizhu town is located at 66 zhusong road.

History of construction
In the early Qing Dynasty, huilongchang was built in Cizhu town.
In 1929, Cizhu township was built.
In 1949, it belonged to the Fourth District of Jiangbei County.
In 1953, it belonged to the 13th District of Jiangbei County.
In 1958, Cizhu township was changed into Cizhu commune.
In 1983, it was changed from Cizhu commune to Cizhu township.
In 1993, Cizhu Township, zhaiping Township and Liangcha Township were merged into Cizhu town.
In 2007, Huashan Town was merged into Cizhu town.
