Fengpo Town, belonging to Wenchang City, Hainan Province, is located in the north of Wenchang City, facing the sea in the East, and bordering Wengtian Town, Jinshan Town and Baoluo town in the south, North and West. The total area is 97 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
It is said that in the Qing Dynasty, Mr. Feng Shugang first built a house here and settled there. It is also called fengwupo, also known as fengjiapo. Later, it is called Fengpo for convenience of memory.
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Fengfeng township.
In 1951, it was the seventh district (Wengtian District), the eighth district (Baoluo District) and the Tenth District (Jinshan District) of Wenchang county.
In 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Wengtian, Baoluo and Jinshan townships.
In 1983, it was changed to Fengpo district.
In 1986, the town was built.

Fengpo town is located in the north of Wenchang City, adjacent to Wengtian town in the East, Qiongzhou Strait in the north, Baoluo town in the South and Jinshan Town in the West. The total area is 97.60 square kilometers and the coastline is 3.30 kilometers long.

Fengpo town is high in the southwest, 30 meters above sea level, and low in the northeast, 10 meters above sea level. It is a low hilly area with gentle slopes. In the south, there are thousands of mu of slope land, which is suitable for afforestation. There are thousands of mu of grassland (also known as dongqiyang), which can be used as pasture.

Since 1957, Fengpo town has successively built four reservoirs in Laocun, shanjue, shisan and Aimei, with a total reservoir capacity of 13.31 million cubic meters. In the winter of 1973, it carried out farmland capital construction, built three lanshuiqiao gates in Donghu, Baimang and Luhu, and Water Turbine Pumping Stations in Aimei and shanjue, increasing the irrigation area of more than 6000 mu.
As of December 2019, there are four reservoirs in Fengpo Town, namely Aimei reservoir, shanhori reservoir, Laocun reservoir and shisanzong reservoir, with a total capacity of about 16 million cubic meters, which can irrigate 16000 mu of farmland; there are 13.5 km of main irrigation channels, 42.75 km of "U" channels, 15 km of low-pressure pipe irrigation and other supporting water-saving projects.
