Yangmuchazi Township, belonging to Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, adjacent to Tanghe Township in the East, Labagoumen Manchu Township in Huairou District, Beijing in the southeast, Nianzi Township in Huairou District, Beijing in the South and southwest, Baicao Township in Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou in the West and northwest, wudaoying Township in the north and northeast, covering an area of 189 05 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the registered residence population was 8457.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to Dushi County, Koubei Road, Chahar special region. In May 1956, two townships, yangmuchazi and fuguishan, were built in this area. In July 1986, it was changed into yangmuchazi Manchu Township. In January 1989, it was restored to yangmuchezi township. As of June 2020, yangmuchazi township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages.

On December 14, 1933, it was transferred to Fengning County.
In October 1945, it belonged to sandaohezi District of xifengning county.
In January 1947, it belonged to yangmuchazi District of Dage county.
In November 1948, it was the 11th district of Fengning County.
In May 1956, two townships, yangmuchazi and fuguishan, were built in this area.
In May 1958, fuguishan township was abolished and merged into yangmuchazi township.
In January 1959, the township was withdrawn and incorporated into xiamiao commune.
In August 1961, yangmuchazi commune was established.
In June 1984, the commune was abolished and yangmuchazi township was built.
In July 1986, it was changed into yangmuchazi Manchu Township.
In January 1989, it was restored to yangmuchezi township.
