Maxian Township, belonging to Ji'an City, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Ji'an City, bordering Tongsheng street in the East, facing manPu city of Korea across Yalu River in the South and southwest, Yulin town in the west, Taishang town in the northwest and North, and Taiwang town in the Northeast, with a total area of 292.99 square kilometers.
At the end of Qing Dynasty, Maxian Township belonged to zhihebao, Huairen County; in March 1983, it was changed from Maxian commune to Maxian township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of MA line township was 9614. As of June 2020, 10 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Maxian village, and the Township People's government is located in the north of Maxian village.

History of construction
At the end of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to zhihebao of Huairen county. Qing Guangxu 28 years (1902), belong to Ji'an County, belongs to Zhihe Baoma Xiangou brand.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Hexi village. During the Japanese puppet period, it belonged to Hexi village. In 1934, it belonged to Baoma line a in Donggang District. In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), it belonged to the two districts of Youhao and Shimiao. In 1945, it belonged to Maxian village, the first district of Ji'an County (Chengguan District).
In February 1956, Tonggou (including maxiangou) and huolonggai were set up, belonging to Fuyu district.
In March 1958, Tonggou Township and huolonggai Township were merged into maxiangou township; in September of the same year, Taiwang Township, maxiangou Township and Ji'an town were merged into Hongqi commune; in December of the same year, they belonged to Ji'an commune and were changed into maxiangou administrative area.
