Kuangpo town

Kuangpo Town, subordinate to Meilan District of Haikou City, Hainan Province, is located in the southeast of Haikou City, adjacent to Baoluo town of Wenchang City in the East, Donglu town of Wenchang City in the south, Hongqi Town and Sanmenpo town in the west, and Sanjiang Town in the north. The administrative area of the town is 113.94 square kilometers.

In September 1983, it was renamed as kuangpo district office. In March 1987, the town was rebuilt. On October 16, 2002, Qiongshan city was abolished and merged into Haikou City. Generally speaking, Po town was under the jurisdiction of Meilan District. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the town was 31485. As of June 2020, the town has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 10 administrative villages, and the people's Government of the town is located at 11 qiongdongbei street.
