Suiyi Township, located in the southwest of Xincheng County, is a poverty-stricken mountainous Township and a special poverty-stricken Township supported by the state. It borders Leidong village of Hongdu town in the East, Yincun village of LiDang township of Mashan County in the west, Guli village of beigeng Township in the South and Liutie village of Hongdu town in the north. The township now has 12 administrative villages (chaogong, Bantong, Lianbao, Suiyi, qionggu, Lanjia, Jialong, Jiabei, Nankang, Nongyao, Nongjiang, zengyang, 12 village committees) and 269 villager groups. At the end of 2004, there were 6316 households with a total population of 24242, mainly including Zhuang, Yao, Han and other ethnic groups, of which Zhuang accounted for 97% of the total population. The residence of the township government is Suiyi street, 45 kilometers away from the county seat.

The vegetation is mainly drought resistant yellow thatch and Gracilaria. There are a certain amount of coal resources in the territory, with 2800 mu of mountains suitable for forestry and animal husbandry. The Hongshui River flows through Lanjia village in the northeast of the township and has been listed in the planning village of Hongshui River tourism project in Xincheng. Located in the north of the township government, Banli reservoir was built in 1958 with a capacity of 766000 cubic meters. The normal water level area is 250 mu, and the irrigated area is 2500 mu. Nongzhuan reservoir in Nongjiang village has a capacity of 1 million cubic meters and a normal water level area of 370 mu. The surrounding scenery is pleasant all the year round. The total area of cultivated land is 19786 mu, including 2401 mu of paddy field and 0.82 mu of cultivated land per capita. In 2004, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the township was 153.8 million yuan. The total grain output is 6603 tons, the per capita grain ration in rural areas is 274.2 kg, the per capita net income of farmers is 1350 yuan, and the local fiscal revenue is 460000 yuan. Township run enterprises include agricultural machinery plant, coal yard, etc. the total forest area of the township is 12069 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 13.61%. There are three forest farms in the township, namely qionggu village collective forest farm, banxiazu Village joint forest farm and Lianbao village collective forest farm. The main economic crops and specialties are silkworm, honeysuckle, papaya, bawanghua, Kudingcha, Broussonetia papyrifera, sisal, etc. there are fresh cocoon drying room, honeysuckle preservation processing room and Suiyi papain factory in Xincheng County, Guangxi. The plant resources with economic value include Huangguoshu, chestnut, longan, Quercus, masson pine, Cunninghamia lanceolata, camphor, rendou, Toona sinensis, Melia azedarach, Camptotheca acuminata, etc. The township is rich in live pigs, flower pigs, goats, chickens and ducks, pigeons and so on.

Asphalt road has been opened to the location of the township government, and 11 administrative villages are connected with roads; 267 villagers' groups in the township have used electricity resources, 90% of them have carried out rural power grid transformation; 80% of them have used sanitary tap water; 9 of 12 villagers' committees have built office buildings.
Elementary education
At the end of 2002, there were 2 middle schools and 12 primary schools with 149 staff. At the end of 2004, there were 1 middle school, 24 teaching classes, 893 junior high school students and 63 teaching staff; 12 primary schools, 2 teaching sites and 75 teaching classes, 1137 students and 98 teaching staff. All primary and secondary schools have teaching buildings.
Cultural radio and television
There is a comprehensive building of publicity, culture, radio and television in the township government, which has a library, audio-visual education training room, entertainment room, etc., with a collection of more than 10000 books. The popularization rate of cable TV is more than 80%, and the mass cultural and sports activities are rich and colorful. The telecommunication industry is developing rapidly. More than 620 telephone sets have been installed, 10 administrative villages have been connected, and mobile communications and broadband networks have been opened.
A brief history of Suiyi
Suiyi region, Tang Heshui County, song Shanglin county. In the Yuan Dynasty, there was a village with a capital. In the Ming Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Gupeng. This was the reason in the Qing Dynasty. During the period of the Republic of China, Sanbao, Lanjia and Anliang regiments were set up first, and then Lanjia and Anliang townships were set up, all under the jurisdiction of the six northern districts of Shanglin county. On December 2, 1952, it was part of the Ninth District of Xincheng County. The District People's government was stationed in Bantong Township, and later moved to Suiyi street. On August 7, 1984, Suiyi commune was withdrawn and Suiyi township was established. In 1990, there were 286 natural villages, 112 villager committees and 269 villager groups, 6127 households and 26274 people in the township, including 12581 women and 12561 labor force.
