Linhai Town, belonging to Lishu County, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the northwest of Lishu County. It borders yushutai town in the East, Shengli Township and Sikeshu Township in the south, Fujia town and Qujiadian Township in Changtu County of Liaoning Province in the west, and liujiaguan town and Shenyang town in the north. The area is 306.8 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Lin Hai town was 32703.
In 1961, backer commune was established. In 1981, it was renamed Linhai commune. In November 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1995, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Linhai town has one community and 15 administrative villages.
