Xinsheng Township, belonging to Baiquan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southeast of Baiquan County, adjacent to Sandao town in the East, Fanrong township of Mingshui County in the south, Longquan town in the West and Xingguo Township in the north. It is 23 kilometers away from the county, with a total administrative area of 231 square kilometers.
In 1908, Tang Yijun came to Xinsheng township to "reclaim wasteland and occupy grass", so he called it "Tang Lantou". In 1984, Xinsheng commune was transformed into Xinsheng township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in new town was 31135. In 2019, Xinsheng village governs 10 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in Xinsheng village.
The main food crops in Xinsheng township are soybean and corn, and the township run industries include iron factory, brick factory, food factory, soy sauce factory, etc. In 2018, Xinsheng township has 6 industrial enterprises and 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1908, Tang Yijun came here to "open up wasteland and occupy grass", so he called it "Tang Lantou".
In 1920, it was under the jurisdiction of the Second District of Baiquan County; in 1924, it was changed to the third district. In 1947, it belonged to Jiujing district.
In 1950, it belonged to the fourth district.
In March 1956, Xinsheng township was set up instead of sub district township.
In September 1958, it was renamed Xinsheng people's commune.
In 1984, Xinsheng commune was transformed into Xinsheng township.

Xinsheng Township, formerly known as "Tang Lan tou Tun", was named Xinsheng Township in 1956, meaning the newly established township.
Xinsheng township is the main settlement of the Oroqen people in China. The local Oroqen people use the new game and fresh fish to sacrifice their ancestors and the Big Dipper.
