History of construction
Baishou town was originally named Shoucheng town. From the Tang Dynasty to the period of the Republic of China, it was successively governed by Chunhua County, Muhua County, Guxian County, Guihua County, Gutian County, Yongning Prefecture, Yongning County, Guhua county and Baishou county.
In April 1989, the township was removed to build a town, and the administrative areas under its jurisdiction remained unchanged without increasing the number of organizations and personnel.
