Pingshan street, belonging to Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located on the Bank of Xizhi River in the east of Huizhou City and in the west of Huidong County. It is one of the central towns in Guangdong Province and a provincial civilized county. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Huidong County people's government and the whole county. The area is 110.88 square kilometers (2020), and the registered residence population is 174 thousand (2019). It has 17 communities and 19 administrative villages (2020).

Historical evolution
Pingshan is named Pingshan because it has Feieling in the East and the terrain is relatively high, and the other three sides are relatively flat.
In the first year of Shaosheng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1094), it was called Hongtang city.
In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1368), Pingshan post was set up.
In 1730, the eighth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, there was a patrol department in Pingshan.
In the Republic of China, it was called Pingshan market.
In the winter of 1950, it belongs to the 11th district of Huiyang county.
Huiyang county was merged into Huiyang County in November 1958.
In 1965, Huidong County was reset, and Pingshan was still Huidong County.
In 1966, Pingshan commune was divided into Pingshan Town commune.
In December 1980, Pingshan Town People's government was established.

In December 2005, the administrative division was adjusted. 12 administrative villages (communities) were transferred from Daling Town, with jurisdiction over 13 communities and 11 administrative villages.
In March 2017, with the consent of the county government, the communities of Hurong and Taiyuan were set up from jiaotian community, and the communities of OCT were set up from Jinguang community. After that, 16 communities including Chengdong, Chengnan, Chengxi, Chengbei, Hongguang, Lianhua, Yuanling, Nanhu, Hongling, Jinguang, Oct, Huangpai, Qingyun, jiaotian, Hurong and Taiyuan, Chentang, Bishan, Guangming, Dibei, Tan Gong and xialian were governed There are 11 administrative villages, namely, Helou, Dabu, Xinghe, Sanlian and liude.
In December 2017, according to the reply letter, it was agreed that 13 administrative villages in Duozhu town of Huidong County, including Zengguang community and Xiwei, quanchang, Jilian, Shangwei, Fenggang, Dadi, Duguang, Tianxin, Dalu, Weide, CHANGKENG, Pingjiang and Lianxin, would be under the jurisdiction of Pingshan sub district office of Huidong County. After the adjustment, Pingshan sub district office has jurisdiction over 17 communities and 24 administrative villages, with a total area of 329.22 square kilometers.
In December 2019, the administrative division was adjusted, and five administrative villages, including Tangong village, Helou village, xialian village, Xinghe village and Dabu village, were included in the jiulongfeng Management Committee.

Shichaodong ancient temple
Shichao cave is located in the southwest of Pingshan street, at the waist of Touhong mountain with an altitude of 467 meters. It is a Buddhist place registered by the state religious department. Temple area covers an area of about 100000 square meters, because there is a group of stone like lion head, so named "lion cave".
In the early years of Jiaqing Dynasty, Guanyin temple was built under Shiyan cave. In the seventh year of Jiaqing Dynasty (1802), dizangwang temple was built under it. From then on, more and more worshippers were worshipped. There are three temples (Guanyin temple, dizang king temple and Laojun Temple), two pavilions (hexagonal pavilion and zuiyue Pavilion), one Zoumalou and one guest house in Shichao cave.
Jieweijing
Jieweijing is located at the intersection of Renmin Road and Jiefang Road in Huidong County. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty and formed in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. Because the two wells are parallel, 7.2 meters apart, and one is large and the other is small, they are also called "Yuanyang well". The two wells are round, the larger one is 2 meters in diameter and 6.2 meters in depth, and the smaller one is 1.5 meters in diameter and 6 meters in depth. The well edge is surrounded by 0.1 m thick and 0.45 m high arc-shaped green stone to form a round well fence, and the inner wall is built with green brick. In November 2000, Huidong County People's government listed it as a "cultural relic protection unit".
Qinglongtan pagoda
Qinglongtan tower is located on the Bank of Xizhi River, Qingyun community, Pingshan street. The pagoda was built in the heyday of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty in imitation of Sizhou pagoda of Huizhou West Lake. It was a regional symbol of Xizhijiang waterway in that year. In March 2004, Huidong County People's government listed the qinglongtan pagoda site as a "cultural relic protection unit". In October 2007, the restoration project of Qinglong tower was started and successfully completed in January 2009.
The qinglongtan pagoda is 3.58 meters long at the bottom and has seven floors. The pagoda is gourd shaped at the top. There are statues of gods on each floor. The built-in wooden ladder can reach the top floor. The eaves from the first to the sixth floor are double eaves, and the seventh floor is single eaves. The eaves height of each floor decreases from bottom to top, and the tower body is also divided layer by layer, showing a dignified and elegant trend.
South Lake Park
Nanhu Park is located in the southeast of Pingshan street. It started construction in 1990, with a total planning area of 1081 mu. It was completed and opened in 1993, and got its name because it is located in Nanhu. After more than 20 years of construction and improvement, Nanhu Park has a green area of 840 mu, accounting for 81% of the total land area. The whole park is divided into five functional areas, namely cultural entertainment area, Nanhu recreation area, seedling production area, plant viewing area and garden management area. Its main features are bamboo green, dense trees and green grass. The good ecological environment attracts dozens of species such as partridge, sparrow, magpie and woodpecker The birds live here.
Feieling Forest Park
Feieling Forest Park is located in the hinterland of Pingshan street, covering an area of about 3000 mu. It is connected by Feieling and Guanyin Mountain. The highest peak, Feieling, is 213 meters above sea level.
