Jinhe town
Jinhe Town, belonging to Jiexi County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Jiexi County. It is adjacent to fengjiang town in the East, Qiankeng town in the west, tatau town and Huizhai town in the north, and Lihu town of Puning City across the South River of Rongjiang River in the South. It is 21 kilometers away from Puning City and 27 kilometers away from Jiexi County, with a total area of 48.46 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence of Jin and town was 78284. As of June 2020, Jinhe town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 13 administrative villages.
In 1949, Jinhe belonged to Wulian district. In 1957, Jinhe township was established. In August 1957, it merged with Qiankeng and established Qiankeng people's commune. In May 1961, Jinhe people's commune was demolished from Qiankeng people's commune. In 1983, it was called Jinhe District, and in 1986, it was renamed Jinhe town.
As of June 2019, Jinhe town has achieved a total agricultural output value of 256 million yuan, a total industrial output value of 207 million yuan, a total commercial output value of 93 million yuan and a fixed asset investment of 62 million yuan. Tax revenue was 5.2979 million yuan, accounting for 32.58% of the annual plan.

The origin of place names
The "Jin" of Jinkeng village and the "he" of Heshun Village are collectively called Jinhe.

The local dialect of Jinhe town in Jiexi County is Chaoshan dialect.
