Hebao town
Hebao Town, subordinate to Rongchang District of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Rongchang District, adjacent to Shilong Town of Dazu District in the East, Renyi town and Guchang town in the south, Guansheng town and Tonggu town in the west, and Jijia town of Dazu District in the north. It is 22 kilometers away from the people's Government of Rongchang District, with a total area of 73 square kilometers.
In Song Dynasty, the area around Hebao town was built as laichuan town; in March 1994, Hebao Township, Dehe Township and Jinniu Township were combined into Hebao town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 42612. As of June 2020, Hebao town has three communities and three administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Baita community.
In 2018, there were 58 industrial enterprises in Hebao Town, including 15 above scale and 7 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters. In September 2018, Hebao town was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.
History of construction
In Song Dynasty, laichuan town was built around Hebao town. Laichuan town was the first of 14 towns in the Yuanfeng period of song Shenzong (1078-1085).
In the 45th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1566), it was set up as four towns with 27 Li, and laichuan town was one of the four towns.
In the first year of Xuantong of Qing Dynasty (1909), it was changed into Hebao township.
In September 1950, Hebao township was under the jurisdiction of Renyi District, the seventh district.
In April 1955, Hebao township was divided into Zhonghe Township and Dehe township.
In October 1958, Hebao Township, Zhonghe Township and Dehe Township merged to form Hebao commune.
In April 1961, Dehe commune was established from Hebao commune.
In January 1984, Hebao commune was divided into Hebao Township, Dehe Township and Jinniu township.
In March 1994, Hebao Township, Dehe Township and Jinniu Township were merged into Hebao town.
