Guzhai town
Guzhai Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Heping County. As of 2017, the town has a total area of 64.28 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of one neighborhood committee and seven village committees, with a total population of 8800.
In 2015, the total industrial and agricultural output value of Guzhai town was 123.75 million yuan.
History of construction
In 1937, Guzhai township was built.
After the founding of new China, along with the old system, it was successively divided into pengzhai District, beidun district and Silian commune.
Guzhai commune was established in 1961.
It was renamed Guzhai Township in 1983.
It was established in 1993.

By 2019, Guzhai town has one neighborhood committee and seven village committees (Street neighborhood committee, Fenghe village committee, Nanxing village committee, Sanlian Village Committee, Shuixi village committee, Hedong Village Committee, Meihua village committee and Qiancheng village committee). Guzhai town is located in the southeast of Heping County, 35 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to Huangshi town of Longchuan County in the East, pengzhai town in the South and West, and beidun town in the north. The total area of the town is 64.28 square kilometers, including 9500 mu of cultivated land.

hydrology
Yutan River, a tributary of Dongjiang River, flows through Guzhai. The main drainage area of Yutan river passes through Hedong Village, Shuixi Village (including Hexi Village) and Qiancheng village. Yutan river is 22 kilometers long and the largest river is more than 200 meters wide. Guzhai hydropower station (located in Qiancheng Village) is built with an installed capacity of 1600 kW.

History and culture
The cultural relic of Guzhai town is Longxing tower, which was built in 1894. It has five floors, red walls and green tiles. After being struck by lightning, it was rebuilt into a three-story building, which is a cultural relic protection unit of the county.
Guzhai town is an old revolutionary base area. It is the seat of the working committee of the ninth company of the Communist Party of China, the Eastern Branch Working Committee, the eastern Administrative Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the headquarters of the second East Branch of the Guangdong Jiangxi Hunan border column.
