Brief introduction of Forest Farm

east coast forest farm, also known as Jiadong forest farm, is located in the southeast of Lufeng City, 70 km away from Lucheng City, bordering Huilai County in the northeast, South China Sea in the south, and 10 km long coastline. In November 1959, it was under the jurisdiction of Shantou District, in 1983 it was under the jurisdiction of Huiyang District, and after 1988 it was under the jurisdiction of Shanwei City. After the establishment of the site, 30000 mu of the first generation coastal beach shelterbelt mainly composed of Casuarina equisetifolia was built, and clear cutting was carried out after the forest was completed. In 1979, a mixed protective belt composed of Casuarina equisetifolia, Pinus elliottii, Acacia formosana, Acacia auricula and other tree species was built, which effectively improved the sand fixation and protection function of Jiadong coastal area. Since 1992, the field has cultivated Casuarina equisetifolia clones hydroponic seedlings for beach afforestation in coastal areas, producing 5 million hydroponic seedlings of Casuarina equisetifolia every year. In 1994, the farm has six working areas, with a business area of 30000 Mu and a forest area of 25700 mu, including 4600 mu of mature forest, 7000 mu of middle-aged forest, 14100 mu of young forest, and 99000 cubic meters of standing trees. There are 151 cadres and workers, including 15 cadres, 134 workers and 2 technicians. The forest farm covers an area of 0.54 square meters for housing and production. There are 50 kilometers of forest roads, 1 Dongfanghong and Fengshou tractors, 1 car, program-controlled telephone and wireless communication equipment.
