Xiangyang Township

Xiangyang Township is located in the northeast of Nan'an City, bordering Xianyou County and Luojiang District in the northeast, Yongchun County in the northwest, Lefeng town and Luodong town in the southeast, and Jiudu town in the southwest. It covers an area of 68.45 square kilometers and has a population of more than 15600. The government is stationed in the rear building. Under the jurisdiction of zhuocao village, Xiangyang Village, Kengtou village, Maji village, Xingtian village, Qixing village and Guotian village, there are seven administrative villages. Historical evolution

The name "Xiangyang" comes from Wutai Mountain, a famous scenic spot in Southern Fujian. There are five peaks in the East, West, South, North and middle (Zhongtai is commonly known as guanri Tai), with an altitude of more than 1000 meters. Standing on the top of Zhongtai in the morning, you can see the spectacular sunrise, so it is called "Xiangyang".

It was inhabited as early as the Sui Dynasty. After liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of seven districts. In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Jiudu commune. In 1970, it was established as Xiangyang Township People's commune. In September 1984, it was changed into Xiangyang Township.
