Xinpi Town, subordinate to Xingning City, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the west of Xingning City, 2.5km away from the city, known as the west gate of Xingning. The center is about 115 ° 70 ′ E and 24 ° 16 ′ n. It is adjacent to Xingtian street and Ningzhong town in the East, Yetang town in the north, Fuxing street in the South and Wuhua County in the West. The total area of the town is 43.08 square kilometers (2017). Xinpi town governs 13 administrative villages and 1 residential community. The town government is located in Xinpi town community. The total population of Xinpi town is 28856 people (in 2017), all of whom are Hakkas of Han nationality.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Xinpi belonged to Xixiang and was called Xinpi District in the Republic of China. After liberation, it was successively called Xinpi District, Xinye District, No.2 District, Xinpi Township and Xinpi commune. In November 2004, Xingning municipal government adjusted the administrative divisions of the town and village. After the adjustment, Xinpi town has 13 administrative villages and 1 community of Xinpi Town, including Xiansheng, Maotang, Fuqing, Fumin, Fufeng, Chatang, Lexian, Sanxin, Xinyuan, Jiazhuang, Huaxin, Xinjin and shangchangling.
Xinpi town belongs to the subtropical marine monsoon climate plain and hilly climate area. It has abundant rainfall, sufficient light, suitable temperature and humidity, abundant rain and sufficient sunshine, which provide good natural conditions for agricultural production. Historical evolution
In the Ming Dynasty, Xingning county was the center, and there were 171 villages in the East, South, West and North. Xinpi is one of Xixiang district. in the Qing Dynasty, it was still divided into East, West, South and North, and the village was changed into fort, with 154 fort in the county. Xixiang 42 fort, laoxinpi is still one of Xixiang area. In the early period of the Republic of China, Xiangbao was separated from the Qing Dynasty. From the 11th to the 21st year of the Republic of China (1922-1932), the county was divided into 16 districts. Xinpi was under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District of Xingning, and was divided into three townships: Fuxing, Xinmin and Xinyuan. (in 1932, when Futang was incorporated into Xinpi, the county was divided into 15 districts.) In 1937, the original 15 districts were merged into 6 districts, and Xinpi (including Fuxing) was under the jurisdiction of the fourth district. In 1941, the new county system was implemented. There were 50 townships, 559 fortresses and 5846a in the original six districts. in the spring of 1946, the county adjusted its administrative division from 559 fortresses in 50 townships to 520 fortresses in 29 townships. District 5 governs four townships, and Xinpi township is under the jurisdiction of District 5. On May 18, 1949, after the liberation of the county, the Baojia system was abolished, and the county was divided into 16 districts. Xinpi was called the second district. In January 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. There are 26 big townships, one town and 183 small townships in the county, which are called people's Committee and Xinpi township. From September 1958 to October 1958, it was subordinate to the people's Committee of Xingning county. On September 20, 1958, according to the instructions of the higher authorities, the original establishment was cancelled and Xinpi people's commune (including Fuxing) was established. The government and society were integrated into one. In January 1981, the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was abolished and the Management Committee of Xinpi commune was restored. november 1983 - March 1987, under the people's Government of Xingning county. The former Xinpi and Changling communes were merged into one district. Xinpi District Office was established, and the original brigade was changed to township. In March 1987, the district was removed to build a town and changed to Xinpi town.

It originates from duntang in Lexian village, flows from west to East through Lexian reservoir, shuangche, Daihu, xianrenzuoshi reservoir, shipitou, linpidu, douzili, fengshanwei in Fufeng village, yuexingshangwu, xin'anqiao in Jiazhuang village, baxinpi, and huangzhuli in mizhai village, with a total length of 10 km; Maling River originates from Fuzhu huangzhutang in yuanyenan town and flows into Maling reservoir. Xinpi has a total length of 4.2 km. It flows from Maling reservoir to yenanhe West Village and Maling village.
