Xiaba town

Xiaba Town, belonging to Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is located in the northeast of Wudang district. It borders Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and Longli County in the East, pianpo Buyi Township and Dongfeng Town in the south, Shuitian Township and Xinbao Buyi Township in the west, and Baiyi town in the North, with a total area of 106.27 square kilometers. As of 2018, the registered residence of Xia Ba town was 20267. By 2019, Xiaba town has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages.

The Ming Dynasty belonged to Guiyang junxiafu and set up lapingsi (now Laping village, Xiaba township). In 1949, it belonged to Xiaba, Laping, Gugeng and Guding, the eighth District of Guizhu county. In 1958, after the period of communization, it belonged to Luowan commune, with Xiaba and Guding two management areas. In 1983, it was set up from Luowan commune. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 2013, with the consent of Guizhou Provincial People's government, Guiyang City abolished Xiaba township of Wudang district and established Xiaba town.

History of construction

The Ming Dynasty belonged to Guiyang junxiafu and set up lapingsi (now Laping village, Xiaba township).

Qing Dynasty belongs to lapingli, Guizhu County, Guiyang Prefecture and baxiangli, shuibianli and wangpanli.

In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Xianyang Prefecture was changed into Guiyang County, belonging to Guiyang County.

In 1931, it belonged to Xiaba, Zhongyi, Ma'an, Laping, pingwo, Guding and Gugeng, the third district of Guiyang County.

In 1941, Guiyang was officially established as a city. The original Guiyang County was renamed Guizhu County, which belongs to Guding, Gugeng, Ma'an, Longchang, dingba, Xiaba and lapingbao in Wudang District of Guizhu county.

In 1949, it belonged to Xiaba, Laping, Gugeng and Guding, the eighth District of Guizhu county.

In 1957, there were five agricultural production cooperatives in Xiaba, Laping, Gujin, Yanshan and Shangzhai.

In 1958, after the period of communization, it belonged to Luowan commune, with Xiaba and Guding two management areas.

The mineral resources in Xiaba town include coal, iron ore, dolomite, silicon and marble. The coal is mainly distributed in Xiaba Laping and Ruoshan villages, the iron ore is mainly in Gujin village, Xiaba village and Gugeng village, the marble is in Gujin village, and the dolomite and silicon are in Xintao village.
