Diling town
Diling township is located in the southwest of Huitong County, adjacent to Taiyangping town of Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County in the East, aoshang township of Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County in the south, Dihu township of Tianzhu County in Guizhou Province in the West and Guangping town in the north. The total area of the township is 75.2 square kilometers (2017), including 8456 mu of paddy fields and 83500 mu of woodland, with 73% of the forest coverage. It has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages and 78 villager groups. 7653 people (2017), including Dong, Miao and other ethnic minorities, accounting for 70.7% of the total population. In 2008, the gross national product was 114.643 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of%, and the annual fiscal revenue reached 1.8737 million yuan, an increase of 154700 yuan or 9% over 2007. Healthy economic development
With the steady economic growth of the whole Township, the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure continues to push forward, and the small fruit base continues to grow. The fruit base with the characteristics of Yaojia village's navel orange, Yaojia village's and Diling village's black plum, sujiapo's Mutong red bayberry, Jiangbian village's Bingtang orange, and Dapo's grape is growing. Throughout the year, 5300 mu of rape, 100 mu of Camellia oleifera, 100 mu of walnut, 500 mu of citrus, 7000 mu of high-quality rice, 300 mu of sericulture, 1000 goats and 2500 pigs were cultivated. Part of the large agricultural production and operation households who started business abroad have returned to their hometown to contract land for business, which has promoted the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure. Biogas construction benefits the country and the people, continue to increase publicity on the use of biogas, and strive to promote biogas construction. At present, 57 biogas digesters have been built in the township.
Forestry production
To provide raw material support for industrial and economic development, and to implement the policies of the higher authorities and return the forest to the people, benefit the people, and return the right to the people, the township party committee and government set up a collective forest right system reform leading group headed by the Secretary of the Party committee, and formulated the "forest reform plan of Diling township". Traffic facilities construction
With the party and the state paying more attention to the rural infrastructure construction, the traffic condition of the township has been greatly improved. The highway to the township extends to Guizhou. Eight of the 11 villages in the township have implemented the smooth project, with a total of 15.7 km; three villages have implemented the smooth project, with a total of 6 km. In 2008, through the active efforts of the township party committee and government, the project of Diling aoshang exit highway has been approved by the higher authorities, and the necessary supporting funds are being raised. The total length of this section of highway is about 4 km, the width of subgrade is planned to be 6 m, and the cement pavement is planned to be 4.5 m. The total fund required is about 1.2 million yuan. The people of the whole Township voluntarily donate 285000 yuan. The project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2009.
Farmland infrastructure
In 2008, the state invested 600000 yuan to reinforce Zhuchong reservoir, and the project was completed in May. The Dapo reservoir reinforcement project with a national investment of 2 million yuan has been started. The implementation of these two small-sized reservoirs will directly benefit more than 20000 people in the lower reaches.
Rural infrastructure
In order to effectively improve the "dirty, messy" phenomenon in the courtyard of township government, further improve the working and living conditions of township cadres, enhance the image of the government, actively raise funds of more than 180000 yuan, carry out the overall transformation of the courtyard of township government, and update the basic office equipment. Luojia village invested more than 70000 yuan to repair and reconstruct the village headquarters, and improved the activity venues of various village level organizations.
History of construction
Diling Township belongs to the Fifth District in 1949. It was built in 1956, merged into Guangping commune in 1958, separated into Diling commune in 1961, and rebuilt in 1984.
Village specialty
Diling Township governs 11 village committees, including Yaojia, Jiangbian, Tuanjie, qiaochong, Sujia, Diling, Xinkai, longmao, Dapo, Luojia and cengxi. It is an important timber producing area in the county, rich in tung oil tree and pine resin. Rice is the main agricultural product. Local product: Diling plum.
