Beisha urban and rural area, belonging to Wanquan District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Wanquan District, bordering guoleizhuang town in the East, Yanghe River in the South and West, Chaigoubao town in Huai'an County across the river, Jiubao Township in the north, 28 kilometers away from the people's Government of Wanquan District, with a total area of 64.84 square kilometers.
During the period of the Republic of China, the urban and rural areas of Beisha belonged to Huaian County and Wanquan county respectively; in March 1984, Beisha City commune was changed into Beisha urban and rural area. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in North Sha City was 18991. As of June 2020, 11 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Beisha urban and rural areas, and the Township People's government is located in beishacheng village.
