SANMENG township is located in the southeast of Luchun County, Yunnan Province, between longitude 102 ° 15 ′ - 102 ° 30 ′, latitude 22 ° 47 ′ - 22 ° 58 ′, Yuanyang County (eza township) in the East, Pinghe Township in the southeast, qiaba Township in the southwest and Daxing Town in the North. The whole area of SANMENG township is mountainous, belonging to the landform of Zhongshan gorge. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast.
