Mars Street

Mars street is subordinate to Furong district, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It governs six communities, including Ziwei community, Yuegui community, Lingxiao community, Xinghe community, taojiashan community and zengjiaping community, with a population of 30455 (2010). The street office is located at 58 Longbai road.

Historical evolution

Mars street, formerly known as Mars town established in 1990, was under the jurisdiction of Changsha suburb. In 1996, the city's division was adjusted and put under the jurisdiction of Furong district. In 2000, Mars street was set up. In 2012, Furong district was divided into Xinhe village and Xianghu street in the west of the second ring road.

administrative division

Zengjiaping community was established on October 26, 2011 with the approval of Furong District People's Government of Changsha City. The public service center is located at 718 yuandayi Road, with a service area of 1300 m2. The community covers an area of 0.45 square kilometers, with 62 residential buildings, more than 1100 households, 3054 permanent residents and 7000 floating population. There are 56 party members directly in charge, including three non-public party branches: the Party branch of comprehensive market, three commercial development communities of yinlijiayuan, xinxiangjiayuan and Jinxiu Zhongxing; residential resettlement communities of Xinhe District 2, 4 and 6; and two wholesale markets of Mawangdui vegetable market and Mawangdui seafood market in central and southern China. Xinghe community starts from Wanjiali in the East, ends at Jinquan street in the west, faces Yuanda road in the south, and is adjacent to Mawangdui hospital in the north, with a total area of 0.68 square kilometers, 179 residential buildings, 4710 households and 15239 people. With the approval of Furong District Committee of CPC and Furong District People's government, Xinghe community neighborhood committee was established in January 2012. There is the largest ceramic building materials market in Hunan and central and southern China, namely Mawangdui ceramic building materials city. Other units in the area include Mawangdui middle school, Mawangdui primary school, Furong cooperative bank, etc. Lingxiao community starts from Yuanda road in the south, Longbai road in the north, Sanxiang market in the West and Mawangdui Han tomb site in the East. With an area of 0.3 square kilometers, 3212 households, a total population of 9513 and 116 party members directly in charge, the district has three direct branches and nine non-public branches. The construction and development of the community territory began in 1986. It is the earliest resettlement area for transferring businesses and households in the city and a large-scale pure residential community. Yuegui community is a "national safe family demonstration community", "provincial green community", "provincial civilized demonstration community", "municipal community construction demonstration community", "municipal civilized community" and "top ten anti drug and non-toxic community". It covers an area of 0.27 square kilometers and the office space of the neighborhood committee covers an area of 310 square meters. It has jurisdiction over two community units, 73 residential buildings and more than 8700 residents. Ziwei community neighborhood committee was established in 1997. It is located in the north of Yuanda Road, bounded by Ziwei Road in the west, Guqu road in the north, Jinquan street and Mawangdui road in the East. It covers an area of 0.3 square kilometers, with 39 residential buildings, 1950 permanent residents, 5200 permanent residents and 9 units under its jurisdiction. The road network of the street where the service center is located is unblocked, and bus lines 142, 139, 66, 112, 501, 705 have been opened. Taojiashan community has a total area of 0.76 square kilometers and a total population of 48000. The community public service center is located on the right side of the east gate of area B of Yinggang shuijingcheng, Jiayu road. The service hall covers an area of 90 square meters. It integrates government affairs and housing management, labor employment, social insurance for urban residents, social assistance, housing security, identification of low-income families, labor supervision, enterprise environment optimization, temporary population management, family planning, and assistance for workers in need Residents in the area under jurisdiction shall provide convenient, fast and socialized services.
