Qianwei Town, belonging to Lantian County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southwest of Lantian County and the middle of Bailuyuan. Historical evolution
The origin of place names
In the Western Han Dynasty, Dinghu palace was built here, with special guards and water guards. It was named because it was an avant-garde. It was named after the town government's presence in Qianwei village.
History of construction
During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, a town was set up.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), there was a township.
After 1949, Qianwei town was under the jurisdiction of luzao district.
In April 1956, it was changed to Luyuan district.
In 1958, it was changed into the second commune of Hongqi commune, and Luyuan commune was restored in the same year.
In 1961, it was renamed Gongcun commune.
After September 1966, it was renamed Xinfeng commune.
In June 1984, it was renamed Gongcun township.
In 1996, the township was withdrawn to build a town. Because the town government moved from Gongcun to Qianwei street, it was renamed Qianwei town.
