DiQiu Township belongs to Linzhang County, Handan City, Hebei Province. It is located in the southwest of the county, 4 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 36.64 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 31548 (2017). Jurisdiction of 21 administrative villages, township government in dongdiqiu village.
Historical evolution
According to Linzhang county annals, when Empress Wu Zetian was in the Tang Dynasty, di Renjie was appointed as the governor of Daming Prefecture and granted the title of Duke Di Liang. After Di died, he lived here, so he was named Di Qiu. The east of the hill is dongdiqiu, and the west of the hill is siddiqiu. The Northern Song Dynasty was called DiQiu. In the 36th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, Zhou Yuanqian, magistrate of the county, changed DiQiu to Dongdi and Xier Di'an.
DiQiu commune was established in 1961, and the township was changed in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 35.5 square kilometers and a population of 39800 (in 2008), it has jurisdiction over 21 administrative villages including Beikong village, Beizhang village, Haowang village, houyeguo, Shuangmiao, Dongshen village, Yuancun village, qianyeguo, dongdiqiu, xidiqiu, Houzhuang, Niucun, Zhangcun, Randian, beiduxi village, beidudong village, xishen village, Beijia village, Dengzhuang, Wangzhuang and Houcun.

Dong DiQiu, Xi DiQiu
Dongdiqiu has a cultivated area of 3776 Mu and an agricultural population of 1883.
Xidiqiu has a cultivated area of 3308 Mu and an agricultural population of 2465.
Beidudong village, beiduxi Village
Beidu village was named in Xianfeng year of Qing Dynasty and Beidu village in Guangxu year of Qing Dynasty. Beidu village is divided into two administrative villages: Beidu East Village has 1926 mu of cultivated land and 1650 people of agricultural population; Beidu West Village has 1884 mu of cultivated land and 1689 people of agricultural population.
Bai Jiaji
Baijiaji is located in the south of dongdiqiu. According to the investigation, in the early Qing Dynasty, there was a famous person in this village named Bai Shuo, who was named Han Gong. He was very famous and named Baijia village after his surname. Later, the village became a market and was renamed baijiaji. Up to now, the 23rd, 26th and 29th of the twelfth month of the lunar calendar are still the gathering days, which are called "Huaji". Now this village is under the jurisdiction of dongdiqiu.
Houcun
Houcun has a long history. According to Wang Guoliang's Great Wall research, in the early Eastern Han Dynasty, in order to defend against foreign invasion, ten li and one Hou were set up. Houcun is an ancient earthen fortress that looks out at the enemy's situation. It was settled on the site of Houcun, so it was named Houcun. In the Northern Song Dynasty, this village was called Houcun village. In the Qing Dynasty, there was Donghou village in Xianfeng years, which later evolved into Houcun. Houcun has 1311 mu of arable land and 1107 agricultural population.
Wang Zhuang
In the early Ming Dynasty, the surname Wang moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to settle here, named Wangjiazhuang. Since the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it has been Wangjiazhuang, and later it was simplified as Wangzhuang. Wangzhuang has a cultivated area of 2627 Mu and an agricultural population of 1821.
Deng Zhuang
In the early Ming Dynasty, the Deng family moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and named it dengjiazhuang. Since the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it has been dengjiazhuang, and later it was simplified to Dengzhuang, with 2090 mu of arable land and 1682 agricultural population.
Xiaowangzhuang
Xiaowangzhuang is located in the south of Dengzhuang. According to Wang's genealogy, Wang's surname moved here from liwangtun, and was named Xiaowangzhuang. Now the village is under the jurisdiction of Dengzhuang.
Beijia Village
In the early Ming Dynasty, Jia family moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to settle here, named Jiajia village. Since the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it has been a Jiajia village, and later it was simplified as a Jiacun village. Now it is Beijia village. Beijia village has 1502 mu of arable land and 1088 agricultural population.
Xishen Village
In the early Ming Dynasty, the Shen family moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and named it Shenjia village. So the village was in the west, and later it was renamed xishen village. Xishen village has 521 mu of arable land and 396 agricultural population.
Beikong Village
In the early Ming Dynasty, the surname Kong moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and named it Kongjia village. Therefore, the village is in the north, so it is called beikongjia village. Later, it was simplified as Beikong village. Beikong village has 2413 mu of arable land and 1654 agricultural population.
Xiaozhuang
Xiaozhuang is located in the west of Beikong village. In the early Ming Dynasty, the sun family moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province. Because of its small population, it was named Sun family Xiaozhuang. In the Qing Dynasty, it is recorded in the records of Zhangde Prefecture of Qianlong as a small village of Gu family. In the Qing Dynasty, it was guxiaozhuang in the Xianfeng Period and gujiacun in the Guangxu period. Later, it evolved into Xiaozhuang. This village is under the jurisdiction of Beikong village.
Zhangjia Village
In the early Ming Dynasty, the surname Zhang moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and named it zhangjiacun. The name of the village is still used today. Zhangjiacun has 1692 mu of cultivated land and 1172 agricultural population.
Niucun
In the early Ming Dynasty, the Niu family name moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to settle here. It was named Niujia village, which was later simplified as Niucun. Niucun has 836 mu of arable land and 627 agricultural population.
Ran Dian
In the early Ming Dynasty, the surname ran moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to settle down here. Because the village was close to the main road leading to the old county town (now Du Village village village) and had many shops, it was named ran Jiadian. It was called ranjiadian in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, and then it became Randian. Randian has 1323 mu of arable land and 796 agricultural population.
Houzhuang
There used to be a temple in the north of DiQiu village. In the early Ming Dynasty, several families moved from Hongdong County of Shanxi Province to settle in the north of the temple, so it was named Houzhuang. The monastery was converted into a school in 1950. Houzhuang has 660 mu of arable land and 435 agricultural population.
Beizhang Village
Beizhang village has a long history and has been formed as early as the Northern Song Dynasty. It was called Zhangcun in the Northern Song Dynasty, and it was still there in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. From the Qing Dynasty to the present, it is Beizhang village. Because it is in the north of Zhang village, it is named Beizhang village. Beizhang village has 1908 mu of cultivated land and 1387 agricultural population.
Double temple
In the early Ming Dynasty, people who moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province built two temples in the village, so the village was called Shuangmiao. It is recorded as Shuangmiao village in Qianlong Zhangde Fu Zhi of Qing Dynasty. In the Qing and Xianfeng years, there were Zhongshuang temple and xishuangmiao temple. Since the year of Guangxu, it has been Shuangmiao village. The two temples, originally located in the middle of the village, divided the village into East and west parts, which were demolished in the 1950s due to the construction of Linliu highway. Shuangmiao has 1751 mu of arable land and 1242 agricultural population.
The front wild Guo, the back wild Guo
In ancient times, the outer city was called Guo. When the old town of Linzhang (today's Ducun Village) was built in the wild, the village was built under Guo, so it was called Yeguo. In Zhengde year of Ming Dynasty, it was yeguotun. There are Chen JIAYE Guo, Li JIAYE Guo and Xing JIAYE Guo in Qianlong Zhangde Fu Zhi of Qing Dynasty. In the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, they were Chenjia Village (beiyeguo), Xingjia Village (xingjiayeguo) and Lijia Village (Lijia Yeguo). Now he is the former and the latter.
Qianyeguo now has 2064 mu of arable land and 1028 agricultural population.
Houyeguo now has 1789 mu of arable land and 906 agricultural population.
Dongshen Village
In the early Ming Dynasty, the surname Shen moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and named it Shenjia village. It was changed to Dongshen village on March 2, 1982. Dongshen village has 1690 mu of cultivated land and 903 agricultural population.
Beiyuan Village
In the early Ming Dynasty, the surname yuan moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to settle here, named Yuanjia village. It was changed into Beiyuan village on March 2, 1982. Beiyuan village has 1068 mu of cultivated land and 656 agricultural population.
Haowang Village
Haowang village has a long history, which was formed as early as the Northern Song Dynasty. According to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in Ming Dynasty, it was called Wangcun in Northern Song Dynasty. Linzhang county annals recorded in Zhengde year of Ming Dynasty is Wangcun village. According to the records of Hao's genealogy, in the first year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1403), the ancestors of Hao's family moved here to settle down and gradually evolved into the village of Hao's family.
In 1960, it was simplified as Haowang village.
Haowang village has a cultivated area of 3039 Mu and an agricultural population of 2030.
