Yinping City, built in the Western Han Dynasty, is an ancient city in southern Shandong.
In the second year of Yangshuo (23bc) of the Western Han Dynasty, the son of King Xiao of Chu was granted the title of Marquis of Yinping, which was originally called the state of Yinping and belonged to Xuzhou.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Yinping county was established as Donghai County.
