Mantangchuan town belongs to Suide County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the east of Suide County, it borders Yihe town and Zhongjiao town in the East, xuejiamao town in the southeast, baijiajian town in the south, Mingzhou town and Jiuyuangou town in the west, Ji Town and xuejiahe town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 10.2 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 25 km, covering a total area of 154 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
It got its name from Yang Mantang, a general of the Yang family in the Song Dynasty.
In 1928, it belonged to Yihe District of Suide County.
In the autumn of 1935, it belonged to the joint protection of Minxiang Township in the eastern district.
In 1942, the district rural system was implemented, belonging to 8 townships in Yihe district.
At the beginning of the founding of new China, it belonged to mantangchuan township of five districts.
In September 1958, mantangchuan commune was established, with 29 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In July 1984, it was changed into mantangchuan Township, with jurisdiction over 29 administrative villages.
In 2001, tuicha township was withdrawn and merged into mantangchuan township.
On June 28, 2015, Shaanxi Province adjusted the administrative divisions of towns, abolished mantangchuan Township and established mantangchuan town.
