Shili township is located in the upper reaches of the river in Shanyang County. It is a shallow mountain valley terrain. The mountain area accounts for 75% of the total area, and the valley flat land accounts for 25%. The south mountain is high and steep, while the north mountain is gentle. The main soil types are white sandy soil, red sandy soil and red spotted soil, followed by black sandy soil. It was named Shilipu after Fengdian, an ancient post station. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in February 1950, the people's Government of Shanyang County set up zhangjiajian Township and Mogou Township in Shilipu, subordinate to eight districts (Chengguan). In November 1958, the above two townships were abolished, and Shilipu production area was set up, which was subordinate to Hongqi (suburban) people's commune. It was changed into Shilipu people's commune in August 1961 and Shilipu people's Government in 1984. In April 1997, when the district was removed and the township was built, Shilipu Township remained the original township. The township has a population of 22397.
economic development
The township economy is dominated by agriculture, and the total output value of agriculture accounts for about 60% of the total output value of industry and agriculture. Grain crops are mainly wheat and corn, in which the total sown area of wheat accounts for 80% of the total area, and the total sown area of corn accounts for 45%. Agriculture has developed from extensive farming to intensive farming with high efficiency. In 2004, the annual output value of commercial pigs was 13.61 million yuan. The annual output value of white goat and Boer goat was 2.063 million yuan, and that of animal husbandry was 21.814 million yuan in 2004. Township industrial enterprises have developed rapidly. Construction and installation, house decoration, cement components, machine brick, transportation and processing, labor export and catering services are developing rapidly. Among them, the annual net income of construction engineering team is 8 million yuan; the annual output value of cement component factory is 2.4 million yuan, the annual net income of labor export is 15 million yuan, and the total output value of township enterprises in 2004 is 93.88 million yuan. the regional industrial advantages of the township have been formed. Develop the mountainous area, plant Chinese herbal medicine in the north and South Mountains, develop forest fruits, edible fungi and sheep; develop the Sichuan area, form the industrial pattern of planting professional villages (vegetables, medicinal materials), breeding professional villages (sheep, chicken, fish), and developing food professional villages (tofu, etc.). Individual and private enterprises are developing well. There are 334 self-employed households and 7 private enterprises in the township, with an output value of 108.35 million yuan in 2004.
