Yangxi Town, belonging to Jixi County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, is located in the middle of Jixi County, 13 kilometers away from the county seat. Historical evolution

Yangxi is named because it flows through the village from west to East and joins Yangzhi River. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Jurong Ge Jin was appointed as the chief bookkeeper of Jixi, settled down in Yangxi, and settled down after becoming an official. In 976, yangxilu belonged to xuanzheng township. In the Yuan Dynasty, Yangxi was the first village of Yidu. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Yangxi town was located in Huining post road, with an official post station. It was the commercial center and transportation hub in the north of the county, and was subordinate to Renren Township and Yangshi Township, commonly known as Yidu. In the 1930s, after Wutun highway was opened to traffic, Yangxi gradually developed into a small market town with convenient transportation and prosperous commerce. After liberation, Yangxi was once a district and became the center of the district. Hongqi commune was established in 1958 and renamed Yangxi commune in January 1959, including Jinsha and Shimen.
