Huanggang town
Huanggang town is located in the Middle East of Poyang County, Jiangxi Province, which is the east gate of Poyang County. Changjiang River passes through the town, bordering Jingdezhen in the north and Leping in the East. It is 75KM away from the county, 230km away from Shangrao, 26km away from Jingdezhen, 45km away from Leping, 200km away from Jiujiang and 243km away from Nanchang!. Huanggang town is a subtropical area with mild climate and abundant rainfall. The annual average frost free period is 274 days, the annual average temperature is 16.9 ℃ - 17.7 ℃, and the annual average rainfall is 1300-1700mm. The town has 42344 mu of arable land and 126506 mu of mountainous land.
Historical evolution
Named after the residence. Therefore, the main peak of the lion is like the phoenix flying south, which is called fenghuanggang for short. Before liberation, it belonged to Huanggang Township, the Fifth District. In 1950, it belonged to Huanggang District, with 16 townships including Huanggang, Taiyang, Dongyuan, Dongxi and Xishan. It was merged into Huanggang commune in 1958. In 1961, it was changed into Huanggang District, with jurisdiction over Shenshan, Taiyang, Hedong and Huanggang communes. In 1968, Huanggang commune was restored. In 1982, taiyangbu, Shenshan and Hedong communes were established. It was changed to Huanggang Township in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 100 square kilometers and a population of 20000, the township government was stationed in Huanggang, with jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages including Huanggang, Wantou, Baishu Village Committees (including Wenzi village, Menlou village, etc.), jiuyanjing, Xishan, Jinji, dongmendu, linqiao, xiayuanchengjia, Peili, Datang and pailouxia. In September 2001, the township was set up. In 2003, Dongxi Township, taiyangbu Township and Shenshan Township were abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Huanggang town.
Attachment: Dongxi township is located in the east of Poyang County and the East Bank of the middle reaches of Changjiang River, 38 kilometers away from the county. Low mountains and hills account for about 60% of the total land area of the township. There is a simple highway, east of 206 National Highway. Hedong commune was established in 1961, merged into Huanggang commune in 1968 and restored in 1982. It was renamed Dongxi Township in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 54 square kilometers and has a population of 14000. It governs nine administrative villages, Hedong, Dongxi, Xialu, JinFang, Dongkang, zhangliu, xinwuxia, Zhongzhou and jigongqiao.
Attachment: taiyangbu township is located in the east of Poyang County and the West Bank of the middle reaches of Changjiang River, 12 kilometers away from the county seat. The Changjiang channel is open to passengers and freighters. Taiyang commune was established in 1961, merged into Huanggang commune in 1968, and restored in 1982. In 1984, it was changed to taiyangbu township. In 1997, it covers an area of 32.6 square kilometers. With a population of 15000, it governs seven administrative villages, namely Taiyang, Tantou, Qingtang, Fulin, Longyang, mabushu and kuangjia.
Attachment: Shenshan township is located in the east of Poyang County and the southeast Bank of the middle reaches of Changjiang River. The township government is located in Lijia, 44 kilometers away from the county. Located in the hilly valley plain area, the Yangtze River goes west along the northwest border, and the northeast is mainly hilly, with mountains accounting for about 60% of the total area. Shenshan commune was established in 1961, merged into Huanggang commune in 1968 and restored in 1982. In 1984, the township was changed. In 1997, it covers an area of 53.5 square kilometers and has a population of 12000. It governs nine administrative villages, namely Shenshan, Lushan, Yangyuan, Shantian, Shijia, Guanqian, Dongyuan, zhonghuashan and Xikou.
Jiuyanjing village committee is composed of nine natural villages. There is a well near each village, which is called "jiuyanjing" for short. Among them, Wenzi village has the largest population (about 500 households) and is connected with Baishu village committee (under the cypress tree, under the gate tower, and under sanlixia). It belongs to the population zone.

Huanggang town is located on the Bank of Changjiang River and the hinterland of changjiujing. In the East, it is connected with Liyang Township, Yushan Town and taqian town of Jingdezhen city; in the south, it is connected with Lutian township; in the west, it is adjacent to guxiandu Town, Youcheng Township and Bintian reservoir; in the north, it is adjacent to jinpanling town. The traffic in the town is convenient, with four boats and four cars, water and land entering at the same time. There are 48 kilometers of county and township roads and 71 kilometers of rural roads in the town. Fengxin line, Dahuang line and taiguan line run through the whole town, and are connected with national highway 206, pole road and potian road. Anti flood peak
At 5:00 p.m. on June 15, 2011, dufengkeng hydrological station in Changjiang River showed that the warning water level was 3.6 meters higher, and Huanggang Town, Poyang County, located in the lower reaches of Changjiang River, ushered in the first flood peak. It is understood that the flood peak reached Huanggang on the 16th, and the water level reached about 31.5 meters. Our county mobilized urgently, implemented measures to meet the flood peak, and safely transferred more than 20000 people on both sides of the river.
Influenced by the high altitude trough and the cold air on the ground, the rainstorm occurred in Poyang area, resulting in the rapid rise of Changjiang River water level. At 8:00 on June 15, the water level in Huanggang town rose rapidly from 19.13 meters in front of the flood peak to 25.40 meters
