Historical evolution
After the unification of Lingnan in Qin Dynasty, Bomei town was assigned to Jieyang garrison of Longchuan County.

Bomei piaose is commonly known as Bomei Meijing. According to the research, it was introduced from Suzhou in 1768. It has a history of 240 years. Mazu believes in customs
Bomei Mazu belief began in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years. According to the local Lin's genealogy, Lin's ancestors moved from Putian, Fujian Province, to hailufeng in Song Dynasty with the "spirit card of protecting the country and protecting the people".
