Sunfang town

Sunfang Town, subordinate to Chongren County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the north of Chongren county. In the East, it is close to Chongren River, across the river from liujiaqiao township. In the West and south, it is adjacent to Heshang town and Bashan town. In the north, it is adjacent to Bailu Township and Linchuan District. Sunfang street, the seat of the town government, is 24 kilometers away from Chongren County, covering an area of 60.5 square kilometers. It governs one community, 13 administrative villages and 104 village groups. In late 2018, sun Fang town had 27 thousand registered residence population.

History of construction

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Sunfang was incorporated into the people's Government of the third district; in October 1958, Sunfang commune was established; in June 1984, Sunfang commune was changed into Sunfang township; in 1993, Sunfang township was renamed Sunfang town.

Sunfang town is located in the north of Chongren County, facing liujiaqiao Township across Chongren River in the East, Heshang town and Bashan town in the West and south, Bailu Township and Linchuan District in the north. The total area is 60.5 square kilometers.

Sunfang town belongs to semi plain and semi hilly terrain. The whole terrain is high in the west, flat in the middle and low in the north, with the highest altitude of 76m and the lowest altitude of 46m.

Sunfang town has a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. The annual average rainfall is about 1800 mm, most of which fall in spring and summer.

The east side of Sunfang town is close to Chongren river. Baoshui canal passes through Chongren river bed through inverted siphon from Liudu village of Bashan town. The whole town is located in Chongren river dike with a length of 20 km. The water volume of Sunfang town is mainly concentrated in rivers, reservoirs and ponds. The total water storage of the reservoir is 24.47 million cubic meters, and the irrigation area is more than 17000 mu.
