Maopai Township, belonging to Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located at the southernmost end of Linchuan District, adjacent to Wanfang town of Nancheng County in the East, Nanyuan Township of Yihuang County in the south, Lixi town of Yihuang County in the West and Rongshan town in the north. With an area of 78 square kilometers, it has 5 administrative villages and 34 villager groups. In late 2018, the population of Mapai Township had 7076 registered residence population.

History of construction
In 1950, it was divided into Maopai Township and Zequan township; in 1958, Maopai Township and Zequan Township were abolished and Maopai commune was established; in June 1984, Maopai commune was changed into Maopai township.
