Libu town is a town under the jurisdiction of Hai'an City, Jiangsu Province. Historical evolution

Libu town was first built in Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty. It is located in Haikou on the edge of the vast Yellow Sea. Tuchian village is named Chian village, which belongs to Hailing county. During the song and Yuan Dynasties, when the number of households increased, it was renamed Chian township. In the Ming Dynasty, it was Chian Township, one of the four townships under the jurisdiction of Rugao County, Taizhou, Yangzhou Prefecture. In 1591, Japanese pirates invaded the coastal areas of Northern Jiangsu and plundered the common people. Chian people rose to build a fort to defend themselves against Japanese pirates and built a nine surnamed fort, which effectively defeated the vicious Japanese pirates.
