Original village

Yuancun township is located 10 km west of Gaoping City, bordering Qinshui County in the west, Macun town in the south, YeChuan town in the northeast, with a total area of 75.5 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 27 administrative villages, 52 natural villages, 135 villager groups, 35 party branches, 855 party members, 29000 mu of arable land, and 18129 permanent residents (2017). Coal and agriculture are the leading industries of the township, and township enterprises are mining Coal, smelting, transportation. With high mountains, dense forests and good vegetation, it is a typical mountainous agricultural township.

On May 26, 2020, the original villages and townships were selected into the list of strong agricultural towns in 2020.

Gaoping and Jincheng were divided into counties in 1961, belonging to the original village people's commune; on May 25, 1984, the government and society were separated, belonging to the original village and township. Industrial construction

The original village is rich in resources, beautiful scenery, simple folk customs and convenient transportation. Pingqu highway runs across the East and West. There are two mines with an annual output of 1.2 million tons in Jincheng Lanhua Dongfeng Coal Mine, Gaoping Kexing Qianhe coal mine, Jinfeng coal chemical and Dongfeng forest farm and other state-owned and joint-stock enterprises. There are six rural coal mines, Runfeng Plastic Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Jintian agricultural science and Technology Co., Ltd., Jinyuan coal washing plant, Hongyi coal washing plant, Lianghu coal washing plant and Yuancun new wall materials There are more than 10 factories and other ground enterprises. Relying on large-scale enterprises and extending the industrial chain, Runfeng plastic factory, Yuancun hollow brick factory, Yifeng coal factory, Hengji building materials factory and Ruida roller factory have been built successively to solve the problem of farmers' employment and increase their income.

Relying on the Ping curve, Jinxiu Chunguang nursery stock and flower base covering an area of 1000 mu, Jintian science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. covering an area of 2000 mu, Lvfeng park covering an area of 200 mu, Zhangyuan ecological park and Laomaling small coarse cereals processing base have been successively established. In particular, Jintian Technology Development Co., Ltd., the leading enterprise in our Township, started construction in the same year and put into production in the same year. It has become the largest Flammulina velutipes production base in North China, accepted the inspection of the provincial observation group, and received high praise from the main leaders of the provinces and cities. at present, there are 2 pig farms with 10000 heads, 3 pig farms with 1000 heads, 47 farmers with more than 100 heads and 6 chicken farms with more than 1000 heads while promoting agricultural industrialization, we should adjust measures to local conditions and highlight characteristics. Nine typical villages have been built, including shanhebei and Heli walnut villages, Xiping Xiangchun village, shangdongfeng traditional Chinese medicine village, Beishan and Qianhe sweet potato village, Chenshan Shanji village, edible fungus village and mugou pig raising village. In particular, our township has transferred more than 2000 mu of land, cultivated 5 large farmers with more than 100 mu of land, planted more than 1000 mu of Forsythia suspensa and Scutellaria baicalensis, and built qizhuanghe Scutellaria tea factory, which has been put into operation. A new sweet potato base of 1000 mu has been built with an investment of nearly 100 million yuan. A starch processing plant is under construction and is expected to be put into trial production by the end of this year. on May 26, 2020, the original villages and townships were selected into the list of strong agricultural towns in 2020.

Urban construction

In the 33 primary and secondary schools in the township, the school running conditions have improved significantly, and the education and teaching level has been leading the city for years. There are many places of interest in the territory, including Wanshou Palace, a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level; Songpeng temple, dragon and phoenix tree, a key cultural relic protection unit in Jincheng city; memorial to the Anti Japanese martyrs of the 17th Army division; Shilang mansion of Panlong village; Anzhen castle, the battle site of Changping; Lianghu village, a famous historical and cultural village in China; xiamayou village, a famous historical and cultural village in Shanxi Province. In 1979, the former site of Gaoping Anti Japanese county Party committee in Chenshan village was named "patriotic education base" by Jincheng Municipal Party committee and Jincheng Municipal People's government.
