Qiaoxi Township
Qiaoxi township is located in the middle of Yifeng County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. It is named after its location at the west end of Pingzheng bridge. It is adjacent to aoqiao Township and Xinchang Town in the East, Fangxi Township and Wuli branch in the west, Shishi Township in the South and Shuangfeng and Tianbao townships in the north. The township government is located on the Bank of Yexi River and at the head of Xinchang bridge, just one river away from the county seat. Yexi River and shangliu (Shanggao to Liuyang) highway and Yitan (Yifeng to Tanshan) highway pass through the territory. The waterway can lead to Jinjiang River to Ganjiang River in the Southeast, Yichun and Changsha in the southwest, and Hubei in the northwest.
Qiaoxi township has a total land area of 145.5 square kilometers, including 25427 mu of cultivated land, 135069 mu of mountainous land and 5430 mu of water surface. Qiaoxi township is characterized by high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south. In the north, it is a mountainous area with the highest point of huangmaoling (commonly known as maomaoling), 435 meters above sea level; in the south, it is a hilly area with the lowest point of Shibu, 60 meters above sea level. Some areas in the South belong to valley alluvial belt. The geomorphic characteristics are mainly divided into three types: tectonic erosion hilly terrain and tectonic denudation hilly terrain, hillock terrain and valley accumulation terrain. The geological structure is located in the composite part of Jiuling uplift and Pingle depression belt. The Da she basin is a NE trending fault depression belt with the same structure as Yifeng basin, and its scale is large.
Historical evolution
the spring and Autumn period belongs to Wu. In 1914, it belonged to Yifeng County of Luling road. In May 1956, Qiaoxi township was merged into Xinchang Town. In October 1958, Xinchang people's commune was established. In September 1961, Xinchang people's commune was divided into Liangtian, Xinchang, Qiaoxi and Beimen communes. In December 1968, Qiaoxi and Beimen communes were merged into Xiangyang people's commune. In 1969, Xiangyang people's commune was renamed Qiaoxi people's commune, and in April 1984, it was renamed Qiaoxi township. Qiaoxi Township belonged to Taihe, Yijun and Xuanfeng before Qing Dynasty. In 19307, qiantou, Yanling, Yanjin, tanpu, taqian, dayuping, Tanxi, Caoxi, shandongnao, Huangpi and other townships were set up. In 1941, Yanbu Township, Fenglian Township and Shuangku Township were under the jurisdiction of the government. Liberated in July 1949, the township was divided into Chengguan District and Xuanfeng district. From 1950 to 1952, there were qiantou, Renhe, Caoxi, chaiyuan, Qiaoxi, Leishen, Fengtan, etc. In 1956, Qiaoxi Township, qiantou Township and Renhe Township were merged into Qiaoxi Township, and Leishen Township, chaiyuan Township, Caoxi Township and Fengtan Township were merged into Leishen township. In 1960, it was merged into Xinchang Town. In 1961, it was divided into Qiaoxi and Beimen communes (townships), with a total of 32 production teams under its jurisdiction. In the winter of 1968, Qiaoxi commune and Beimen commune merged into Xiangyang commune, and soon changed its name to Qiaoxi commune. In 1983, it was renamed Qiaoxi Township, under the jurisdiction of villages and villager groups. The township government was originally located in the West Bank of Pingzheng bridge. In 1992, it moved to the west end of Xinchang bridge and governed 15 villages.

By the end of 2011, it had 16 villagers' committees, including fujiaping, caojialing, Dayu, tanbuyu, Wanli, chaiyuan, Tankang, Qiaoxi, Chengxi, Gongjiaping, Diaofeng, Dongyuan, Shitang, qiantou, Shibu, huangpiqian, and 115 villagers' groups. By the end of 2011, the total population of the district was 12336, including 1096 urban permanent residents, with an urbanization rate of 8.9%. In the total population, there are 6442 males, accounting for 52.2%, and 5894 females, accounting for 47.8%. The majority of them are Han nationality, and there are 8 ethnic minorities (Miao, Dong and Hui). In 2011, the birth rate was 17.07 ‰, the death rate was 8.46 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 8.61 ‰.

In 2003, the township realized a total industrial and agricultural output value of 115.04 million yuan, including 94.05 million yuan of industrial output value, 19 million yuan of agricultural output value, 3.743 million yuan of fiscal revenue and 2430 yuan of per capita net income of farmers. In 2003, Qiaoxi Township made remarkable achievements in rural tax and fee supporting reform, and was awarded the title of "advanced township in rural tax and fee supporting reform in Jiangxi Province" by the provincial Party committee and government. The main machinery and equipment are 16 sets of combine harvester, 1320 horsepower, 2000 sets of thresher, 8000 horsepower, 228 sets of agricultural products processing equipment, 3348 horsepower. The original value of fixed assets was 7.274 million yuan. the agriculture is mainly rice, and the vegetable planting industry is developed, which is an important vegetable supply base for the county. There are abundant forest resources in the township, and the volume of broad-leaved forest ranks the second in Yifeng county. Produce bamboo, bamboo shoots, paper, mushrooms, charcoal, tea oil and so on. Small hydropower resources are abundant. The student dormitory buildings of Qiaoxi middle school and Qiaoxi Central Primary School, which have invested more than 700000 yuan in Qiaoxi Township, have been fully completed. The layout of primary school education structure network has been adjusted from the original 7 primary schools and 3 teaching points to 1 primary school and 5 teaching points. Adhere to the education implementation plan of "full employment and competition", and reduce 63 teachers. The west end of Xinchang bridge, where the Township People's government is located, used to be a barren mountain, has now become a market town, which is connected with Xinchang Town across the river.

Qiaoxi township is a warm and humid area in the middle subtropical zone, with four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall and sunshine. The annual rainfall is 1716 mm and the frost free period is 263 days. Because of the excellent geographical environment and climate conditions, Qiaoxi has become a grain producing area and an important vegetable base in Yifeng County, while the volume of broad-leaved forest and the power generation of small hydropower stations rank second and first in Yifeng county respectively. Qiaoxi township is rich in vegetation resources with a vegetation coverage rate of more than 90%. The distribution of vegetation community is reasonable and there are many kinds of vegetation.
Vegetation community
Phyllostachys pubescens, Cunninghamia lanceolata and broad-leaved forest are mainly distributed in 7 villages, including caojialing, fujiaping, Tanbu section, Dayu, chaiyuan, Wanli and Tankang. The bamboo cypress community (200 mu) in Daye village is the largest one in Jiangxi Province. Pinus massoniana, Camellia oleifera and Pinus elliottii are mainly distributed in Shitang, Diaofeng, Dongyuan, huangpiqian, Shibu, qiantou, Qiaoxi and Gongjiaping villages.
Types of timber forest
The main types of timber forests in the township are Pinus massoniana, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Schima superba, Liquidambar formosana, Taxus chinensis, camphor, Phoebe, palm, cypress, cherry, Cinnamomum camphora, leopard skin camphor, Michelia macrophylla, Melia azedarach, Paulownia, turnip, juniper and moso bamboo.

The main types of economic forest in the township are tung oil tree, Camellia oleifera, Litsea cubeba seed, chestnut, sandalwood, kiwi fruit, orange, honey peach, etc.

The common Chinese medicinal plants in the township are Cortex Acanthopanacis, Eucommia ulmoides, Cinnamomum cassia, Lespedeza, Maoli, Wuyao, Atractylodes macrocephala, Atractylodes lancea, Codonopsis pilosula, etc.

Other bamboos
There are many kinds of bamboos in the township, mainly including Phoenix Tail Bamboo, pole supporting bamboo, Indocalamus, solid bamboo, purple bamboo, light bamboo and bitter bamboo, which can be used as ornamental and timber.
Da she bamboo cypress
In 1981, a bamboo grove covering an area of more than 200 mu was discovered in hengcao mountain farm, Youjia formation, Dayu village, Qiaoxi township. The bamboo cypress grows on the shady hillside. Its shape is like an umbrella. Its diameter is up to 40 cm and its height is 10 meters. It has many branches and leaves. Its color is green and it is evergreen all year round. According to experts from Lushan Botanical Research Institute, bamboo cypress is rare in East China. Its wood is precious and has high economic value and ornamental value. In 1984, Qiaoxi Township set up zhubailin management area in Daye.
Gongjiaping ancient camphor
Gongjiaping village's ancient ZhangXiong Sutra is 4.17 meters, the tree height is 59.7 meters, the crown width is 1300 square meters, and the tree age is more than 1000 years.

Taocang
In 1958, five pairs of pottery storehouses were unearthed from baoyunjian, Sanfeng mountain in Qiaoxi, all of which are of the inner que type. One of them is a round pot with a small mouth and a sharp bottom. On the mouth of the pot is another que type pottery building. The building is divided into three layers, with double eaves and sharp corners, gull's beak and ridge. The height is 65cm, and the broadest angle of the canopy is 45cm, with crab shell blue glaze. Taocang County Museum. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was one bronze Da with five baht coins, which belonged to the second grade; one cauldron with double string patterns, and two washes with double ear fish patterns, which belonged to the third grade. Four cultural relics are now kept in the County Museum.
Salt cave
Located in Yanling, Qiaoxi Township, it is a natural cave. Yandong is the symbol of Yanling, and Yanling step is the basis for the name of ancient Yanbu town (Yanbu town began in the early Tang Dynasty and was changed to Xinchang Town in 1954). The salt hole has a big belly. The first room can accommodate more than a dozen people, and the second room can only squat up. It is said that salt was once produced in this cave, so it is named. Salt can be eaten by monks nearby. Later, a traitor sold it, so it is no longer effective.
Xiaoxiechuan
It is located under the salt ridge of Qiaoxi township. Originally a continent, the stream twists and turns into Yexi. All versions of Xinchang County annals list xiaoxiechuan as a historical site. Xiaoxiechuan was named after Song Dynasty
