Guixi Xiyao forest farm is a state-owned forest industrial enterprise. It is located in the southeast of Guixi City, about 50 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Qianshan County in the East, Jintun town in the west, Wenfang town in the South and Yiyang County in the north.

The total operating area is 48550 mu, including 19662 mu of artificial afforestation, 4260 mu of broad-leaved forest, 21945 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens forest and 375 mu of economic forest. There are 175000 cubic meters of standing trees, 2.977 million living bamboos, 5034 mu of national public welfare forest, 3000 mu of national treasury forest, 34053 mu of local public welfare forest and 10000 mu of high-yield Phyllostachys pubescens forest. The site is rich in forest resources. The main tree species are Phyllostachys pubescens, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Pinus massoniana, Schima superba, Castanopsis papyrifera, Quercus glauca, sweet papyrifera, kubrous papyrifera, Liquidambar formosana, etc., as well as Taxus chinensis and Ginkgo biloba, etc., which can produce more than 1500 cubic meters of wood annually and more than 150000 Phyllostachys pubescens per year, especially Phyllostachys pubescens. It also contains abundant natural granite ore resources. With beautiful environment, pleasant climate and fresh air, shangpingshan is a "natural oxygen bar" and a perfect place for summer vacation. the total number of cadres and employees was 201 (in 2010), including 64 retirees, 51 on-the-job personnel and 22 personnel with professional and technical titles. Under the leadership of the general Party branch, the director responsibility system is implemented. Administratively, it is under the direct jurisdiction of Guixi municipal Party committee and government, and its business is under the jurisdiction of Guixi Forestry Bureau. The general Party branch committee is subordinate to the Party committee of Guixi Forestry Bureau, with three party branch committees and 32 party members. the traffic extends in all directions. The trunk roads of Xi (Yao) Yi Wen (Fang) and Xi (Yao) Yi Zhan (yuan) run through the north and south ends of the forest farm, directly to the urban area. There are three forest roads, Dongji Road, Yangshan road and Shangping Road, directly to each branch and production point.
