Yuelai town is located at the junction of Shuyang, Suyu and Xinyi. The southwest of Shuyang County is 22 kilometers away from the county seat, covering an area of 88.47 square kilometers (2017). It is a typical agricultural town, with jurisdiction over 1 neighborhood committee, 11 administrative villages, 78 village name groups, 45521 people (2017), and cultivated land area of 85000 mu.
