Zhongzhong town
Zhongzhong town belongs to Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian Province. It is located in the southwest of Longyan City, Fujian Province, bordering Zhangping in the East, Nanjing in the South and Yongding in the west, Caoxi town in Longyan in the north and Dongxiao town in Longyan in the northwest. It is 36 kilometers away from the city. Located between 117 ° 02 ′ ~ 117 ° 12 ′ E and 24 ° 47 ˊ ~ 25 ° 02 ˊ n, it is at the junction of Yongding, Zhangping, Nanjing and other counties and cities. It is the only way for Minxi and Gannan to go to the southeast coastal area of Fujian, and also the main material distribution center connecting the coastal and inland areas. The town governs 22 administrative villages.
In 2017, the administrative area was 29910 hectares, with a permanent population of 37548.
In 2014, the total agricultural output value of Zhongzhong town was 368 million yuan, an increase of 6.7%; the per capita net income of farmers was 14531 yuan, an increase of 15% compared with 2013. The main scenic spots are moderate Tulou group, Dianchang building, civilization tower, etc.
Historical evolution
Zhongzhong town was called Shangping in ancient times. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566), a post station was set up here. Because it was near the midpoint between Longyan City and Zhangzhou City, it was named Zhongzhong post, from which the place name of Zhongzhong came.
In the 37th year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1558), there were townships, Li and she in all rural areas of Longyan county. Shangping is subordinate to Longmen li of Tieshi Township, with Shangping Shangshe, Shangping Zhongshe and Shangping Xiashe.
In 1835, the Shang, Zhong and Xia societies of Shangping were merged, which was called Zhongzhong society.
In 1932, after the 19th Route Army of the Kuomintang occupied Longyan, a committee was set up to deal with the aftermath. There is a moderate area in the back.
In March of 1937, the white clay in the fourth district and the Fifth District merged into the second district. The district office set up a white clay office in the fourth district.
In June of 1938-1939, Lianbao was reduced to Township, which belonged to the second district. There were Zhongzhong town and Xianghe township.
In December 1941, Zhongzhong was divided into Zhongzhong Town, Hefeng Township and Xianghe township.
Hefeng township was merged into Zhongzhong town in 1944.
In August 1948, Zhongzhong town and Xianghe Township were set up.
In November 1949, there were Shizhong District, Xianghe district.
In January 1950, the moderate area was renamed the 13th area, and the Xianghe area was renamed the 12th area.
In 1950, District 12 and District 13 merged into District 13.
In October 1951, District 13 was renamed District 9.
In 1953, Quanshan township was added to the ninth district.

In 1965, the three communes merged to be called moderate commune. In July 1984, Zhongzhong township was set up.

From the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, it was the whole territory of Zhongzhong society and part of Makeng society.
In the spring of the 19th year of the Republic of China, a moderate Soviet government was established, governing Xiangshan, Nanxia, Lantian, Yangdong, Xinci and other townships.
In the 23rd year of the Republic of China, it belonged to the fourth district. In March of the 26th year of the Republic of China, it was the seat of the Second District Administration (later moved to Baitu). It had jurisdiction over Xiangshan, Liuhe, dunmu, Xiping, Baoning, Anhe and Qixia townships, and 37 townships.
In the 28th year of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Anhe, Baofeng, dunmu, Xianghe and Xianghe.
In December of the Republic of China, Zhongzhong town was set up under the jurisdiction of Shangqin, dungu, Dunan, Suwei, Dongjia, Fushan, Longpu, yingkeng, Liuxi, Dazhong, Qingyuan, Yuanfeng and xiaweibao; Hefeng Township under the jurisdiction of Wenqing, Xiayu, Baiye, changta, Beishan, Anbin, Wanglong, Yongxi, Baotai and baoningbao; Xianghe Township under the jurisdiction of Dongjia, Xiangshan, Houtian, Xiacun, Hexi and Juzhou Xinci, Lantian, Bangdong, yangxibao.

In November 1949, a moderate district was set up with jurisdiction over Lanxi, Xiangxi, yangbang, Zhongxin, Zhongxi, Baofeng, Renhe and Yongxia villages.
In June 1957, Xiangxi, Zhongzhong and Yonghe townships were set up.
In September 1958, the township system was abolished and the people's commune of "unity of government and society" was established.
In 1960, Zhongzhong commune was divided into Zhongzhong commune, Xiangxi commune and Yonghe commune.

In the spring of 1965, the three people's communes, Zhongzhong, Xiangxi and Yonghe, were merged and named Zhongzhong people's commune.
In 1987, it had jurisdiction over 14 villages and 174 villager groups, and the township government was located in the middle of the town.
In 2000, it governed 22 village committees, including Sankeng, Juzhou, Xinci, Xiacun, Yanci, Zhuhua, Toyota, Xiangshan, Lantian, Yangdong, Xibing, Yanzhong, Zhongxin, Zhongxi, yingkeng, Baofeng, Renhe, Shangyu, Xiayu, Baiye, Wenzhuang and Banxi. Moderate, surrounded by mountains, undulating peaks, 36 kilometers north-south. Shangfangshan lies like a ridge from north to south, running through the whole town. In the middle of the basin, there are three small basins of strip type, with flat terrain and an average altitude of 650m.
The main streams formed by surface water are neitian stream, Zhongzhong stream (Liuxi), Xiangshan stream, Xinci stream and yingkeng stream.

Zhongzhong town has convenient transportation. The national highway g319 (Xiamen Chengdu) runs through the whole town, with a length of 33 kilometers, and the county roads x606 (Shifeng line) and x607 (Shinan line) go directly to Yongding and Nanjing. The G76 Xiamen Chengdu Expressway passes through the town, with an interchange exit in Xinci. The longxia express railway runs underground in the north and east of the town, and was completed and opened to traffic in 2012.
