Zhenhai Street

Zhenhai street is located in the east of Putian City, Fujian Province, which belongs to Licheng District. It borders Xindu town in the East, Fenghuangshan street and Xialin street in the south, Longqiao street in the West and Gongchen street in the north.

Zhenhai street is located in the east of Putian City, at the north foot of Hugong mountain and the North Bank of Mulan River. It borders Xindu town in the East, Fenghuangshan street and Xialin street in the south, Longqiao street in the West and Gongchen street in the north. Historical evolution

Zhenhai sub district was established in May 2002 and officially established in August 2002. It has jurisdiction over the five neighborhood committees of the former Licheng sub district, including Wenshu, Fengshan, Changshou, Yinglong and Meifeng, and six villages of the former Chengnan Township, including Zhenhai, kuokou, Xinzhen, Buyun, daili and Gushan. Litchi was planted in Putian from Tang Dynasty to Ming Dynasty, so it was called "Licheng" more than 1000 years ago. Litchi in Putian is famous for its color, taste and fragrance. Xinghua East Gate Ming Dynasty five emperors temple is located in Putian City Zhenhai Street Gongchen Village Flower Pavilion Bridge. It has a history of four or five hundred years. In ancient times, there was an ancient official road with a length of more than 400 meters and a width of 6 meters from zhenhaimen, the east gate of Putian old city, to the East, through the flower selling pavilion to the five emperors temple at dongmentou Pavilion. This is the only way from the east gate of Putian City to the coast in ancient times. It is still covered by trees and crowded with people.

The five emperors temple in the east gate of Xinghua, facing south, is composed of Mencheng, passing Pavilion, Mendian, baiting, main hall and back hall. It covers an area of about 1500 square meters and a construction area of 300 square meters. The main hall is three rooms wide and one room deep. It adopts a wooden frame with a bucket and is suspended on the top of the mountain.

There are historical records: in the 22nd year of Jiaqing Dynasty, the five emperors temple in Dongmen was rebuilt once, and in the 34th year of Guangxu Dynasty, it was rebuilt again. During the Anti Japanese war in 1939, the Kuomintang government carried out the "scorched earth policy" against Japan and demolished the ancient city wall of Xinghua Prefecture. All the large stones about 36 cm long, 26 cm wide and 10 cm thick were used to pave the roads, and the five emperors temple in Dongmen was also destroyed. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the temples were not managed. After 60 years, the walls were damaged, and in recent years, the people raised money to repair them.

According to the records of the five emperors' Scripture, during the reign of emperor Xianzong of Tang Dynasty, there was a plague in Putian, and almost every household was infected with the disease, which made the people miserable. In order to save the people's livelihood, the five emperors of heaven sent Luan to Zihuang mountain and turned the well water of Shijing into immortal water which can cure diseases. People felt their kindness and went to the Zhengdian hall to thank the five emperors and ask for immortal water. In the Ming Dynasty, the five emperors' temple of dongfen was divided into the urban area, and people built a five emperors' temple in the east gate to pray for spirits nearby. Every year, the Dragon Boat Festival is the birthday of the five emperors. In these days, people around the moat of the East Gate take action.
