Historical evolution
In 908, the second year of Liang Kaiping in the Five Dynasties, Wang Shenzhi, the king of Fujian, built Jiacheng and surrounded it with "three mountains". In the East and south of the city, there is a beautifying gate (now Fuxin intersection of Wuyi North Road), and an inner gate is built on the east side of the gate. This gate is built near qiongshui River, so it is called shuibumen (the place where ships stop at the water is called "bu" by the ancients, which leads to "bu", that is, the wharf). After Ming Dynasty, homonym was used as water department.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Taijiang District. In August 1950, after the adjustment of the administrative region, it was put under the jurisdiction of Dagen district and became one of the 12 neighborhood committees in the district. In 1955, the people's Committee was established in Dagen District, which has jurisdiction over eight sub district offices. After the merger of the Ministry of water and the Gaoqiao residents committee, it was upgraded to the sub district office of the Ministry of water, which is located in longtingjing. In 1995, it started from the junction of Fuma Road and lianjiang road in the East, reached Wuyi Square in the west, East at the foot of Shandong, South to Zhuangyuan street of Wuyi Road, north to the north of guxianqiao and Fuxin Road, with a total area of 4.3 square kilometers.

Economic History
During the period of the Republic of China, there were several individual manual operators specializing in irrigation water carts along Qiongdong Road, several foundry workshops along lianzhai village, and two or three wineries and sauce factories. The factory and workshop are operated by hand, the equipment is simple and crude, and the business scale is very small.
In 1958, driven by the wave of "industry run by the whole people", some housewives went out of the house, raised their own funds, brought their own tools and found their own business. They set up a paper picking farm, rag farm and pig farm of homework type, and organized an earthwork team with more than 50 employees. The street industry started.
From 1960 to 1965, the street industry groups including Dasuo farm, wood painting farm, inkstone making farm and bookbinding farm were established one after another, and the earthwork team was expanded, with more than 200 employees. The main products include brown hemp rope, wood painting and stone inkstone. At the beginning of the "Cultural Revolution", the street industry was criticized as the "tail of capitalism" and disintegrated in 1969.
In the early 1970s, the street industry began to recover. From 1971 to 1976, it established the Gulou District Wuyi plastic factory, the Gulou District Wuyi sewing factory, the Gulou District Wuyi sanding factory, the Gulou District Wuyi wooden farm tools factory, the Gulou District Wuyi chemical factory, the Gulou District Shuibu vehicle carriage repair factory, the Gulou District Wuyi silk factory, the Gulou District Wuyi bamboo factory, the Gulou District Wuyi leather factory, the Gulou District first, second, third hardware factory and other street industries. In the 1980s, due to the reconstruction of the old city and other reasons, the street cotton products factory, carriage factory, plastic factory, sign factory, silk factory, etc. were relocated to a 1500 square meter standard factory on Puxia road to continue to produce some products. During the relocation, the government compensated 27 (1000 square meter) shops along the street of the street Industrial Office for the relocation of some workers. At the same time, the street renovates and expands the low and crude factory buildings. Through "building nests to attract Phoenix", new industrial enterprises such as Hengfeng color printing company in Gulou District, Gulou Oriental garment factory, Gulou Minjie plastic products factory, Gulou tea and recreational beverage factory are established.
In the 1990s, the street industry developed steadily.
