Donghe Township
Donghe Township, subordinate to Huachuan County, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the east of Huachuan County. The township government is located in Jiuyang village. Donghe township has a cold temperate monsoon climate. The total area of the township is 203.66 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 11881 households registered residence in Donghe township.
In 1945, the former Donghe District was assigned to the New District of Huachuan County, and later renamed the fourth district. In 1947, the area was put under the jurisdiction of Huachuan County, which was under the jurisdiction of Xincheng District. In March 1956, the area was assigned to Jixian County and Donglin township was set up. In February 1958, Donglin township was transferred to Huachuan County; in September of the same year, Donglin township was incorporated into Xincheng commune. In March 1959, the area was assigned to Jiamusi city. In 1961, Donglin township was incorporated into Lishu commune. In August 1964, Donglin township was assigned to Huachuan County. In August 1972, some new villages and old villages were merged into Dongfanghong commune. In December 1981, Dongfanghong commune was renamed Donghe commune. In April 1984, Donghe commune was transformed into Donghe township. As of October 2019, Donghe township has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 2 village level units.
In 2011, the total revenue of Donghe township was 3.84 million yuan, an increase of 7%. At the end of the year, the balance of various deposits was 60 million yuan. In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises in Donghe Township, including 1 industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 36 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1945, the former Donghe township was under the jurisdiction of Fujin county.
In 1947, the area was put under the jurisdiction of Huachuan County, which was under the jurisdiction of Xincheng District.
In March 1956, the area was under the jurisdiction of Jixian County and Donglin township was set up.
In February 1958, Donglin township was rezoned back to Huachuan County. In September of the same year, it was incorporated into Xincheng people's commune.
In March 1959, Donglin township was under the jurisdiction of Jiamusi city.
In 1961, Donglin township was incorporated into Lishu commune.
In August 1964, Donglin township was transferred back to Huachuan County.
In August 1972, some new villages and old villages merged to form Dongfanghong commune;.
In December 1981, Dongfanghong commune was renamed Donghe commune.
In April 1984, Donghe commune was changed into Donghe township.

Donghe township is a low plain area, which is the first terrace of Songhua River. The altitude is 65-70m, and the terrain is low and flat. The soil is mostly meadow soil and albic soil, which is sticky and cold pulp, suitable for the growth of soybean, wheat, corn, rice and other crops.
