Chatou township is located in the north of Hongjiang City, on the North Bank of Yuanshui River, just across from Anjiang town. Its geographical location is 110 ° to 110 ° 15 ′ e, 27 ° 20 ′ to 27 ° 29 ′ n. It is adjacent to Maodu Township in the East, Anjiang town in the South and East, and Huangyan, a provincial tourist resort, in the West and North. The main agriculture of the township is grain and citrus. The famous and special products include pomelo, walnut, Gastrodia elata, seedless Ponkan, etc. The total grain output in 2002 was 6649 tons, 11% less than that in 1998. In 2002, the output of citrus was 2600 tons, which was 1.11 times of that in 1998. 13200 livestock, 98000 poultry and 85 tons of aquatic products were sold. The annual output of watermelon is 990 tons; the production area of medicinal materials is 1300 mu, with an annual output of 400 tons, and the annual output of flowers is 110 mu, mainly the tree stumps in jigongpo village and the flower bonsai in danianxi village.
