Suxiang town's breeding, fruit industry and animal husbandry have made great progress, forming a 10000 mu fishery production base with jiaochengwei aquaculture farm as the leader, a 10000 mu fruit production base with village fruit as the basis, and a "three yuan" hybrid pig production base with Daxing pig farm as the leader. In addition, beef cattle, Boer goat breeding in the town has developed, and gradually promoted.
Historical evolution
Su Lane, formerly known as Doujian temple. In the early Ming Dynasty, Doujian temple was the ancestral hall of the three local surnames Su, Niu and dou. It was the place to deal with clan affairs and land ownership. Every time the ancestral temple was sacrificed, the three families would hold family gatherings. Later, the Su family and the Niu and Dou families filed a lawsuit over the land. The Niu and Dou families lost and gave up their ancestral hall. Therefore, Doujian temple was renamed the Su family temple. Later, because the Su family's streets were narrow and there were roadways left, it was named Su Xiang.
Suxiang is the seat of the former Suxiang district office. Suxiang district was founded in 1949, formerly known as Jinli District, and was stationed in Jinli district. In 1955, it was withdrawn and merged into Jianxi District. In 1961, it was restored to Jinli district. In 1980, it was relocated to Suxiang district and renamed Suxiang district. In 1992, the former Suxiang Township and Daying Township were merged to establish Suxiang town; in 1996, Daying township was separated from Suxiang town and set up Daying office; at the end of 2000, Daying office was merged into Suxiang town again.
